  1. It was on the wall in the offices in one of their “behind the scenes” media release videos.
  2. Available for purchase. I heard the instigators say something about Ellis having a t-shirt with his face on it. So I googled and found a plethora of Matt Ellis merch. I have no idea why it exists.
  3. What’s the deal with Matt Ellis and T-shirts? Why does he have so many awesome ones? https://www.google.com/search?q=matt+ellis+hockey+t-shirt&client=safari&hl=en-US&prmd=sinv&sxsrf=ALeKk02pyZQpQB2MLWSKq9JOxcSayzuF4Q:1616035603209&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjv7srg6bjvAhXo1FkKHbiaAKsQ_AUoAXoECA0QAQ&biw=320&bih=449&dpr=2
  4. Yeah, prospect development isn’t always linear, it’s bumpy sometimes. I think we are seeing now a similar jump with Mittelstadt. He’s looking pretty decent after looking like the same poo for 2 years straight. And we are seeing a dip with Dahlin and Jokiharju right now. They should rebound.
  5. The shots at Matt Ellis are all in good fun, I think. He is a part of board lore as the quintessential generic fringe NHLer. He is the thing that just barely gets the job done. Not the best mind you, but he is cheap, he won’t quit and he is just always there.
  6. I think Krueger is a generally engaging and interesting person who seems to care about others. I bet he has great stories. Also, it doesn’t sound like he worked then too hard in practice. I’m not surprised that they liked him. The only problem is that it seems he isn’t a good coach.
  7. I like Sam for his stoic professionalism. I like angry Skinner. Jack is ok, but I can’t quite get past his slight Mass-hole vibe. I love Linus, seems like a great, funny guy. Olofsson and Dahlin are milk toast. McCabe and Lazar are definite favorites. Risto I just feel bad for mostly. I think he is broken. So I guess Sam, Linus, McCabe, Lazar. Oh, Girgensons too. I like the group coming up now though. Love Cozens, and I see Borgen & Bryson becoming fast favorites.
  8. Sometimes you just don’t know how good you have it, eh?
  9. But does he have a sextuplet of K’s in his name? Is he named after a great pagan thunder god? I thought not.
  10. Are there many that you really like?
  11. I think this needs to be the way. The Sabres are in no position, psychologically, to make any sort of exception for any player.
  12. The context you are trying to apply is almost completely lost on me. No Bills knowledge here. I know that they have Josh Allen who has an admirable spirit, and right arm, and I know that they played real good after not playing real good for a real long time.
  13. He said it twice! It must be extra true!
  14. I think Nate Leaman might be the guy. Seems like a lot of smoke there. Seems like a Sabres hire. I really believe that an experienced NHL coach is the better way to go right now. I think hiring someone who has never coached adults, or pros, is a bad path to go down. With that being said, I would need to keep an open mind because Leaman seems like a very good college coach and could end up a very good NHL coach for all I know. They could take, in my opinion, the wrong approach and still end up striking gold. Blind squirrels finding nuts and all that.
  15. What’s the odds for Leaman? A betting man might be able to make some money.
  16. This is what Adams wants the Buffalo Sabres to be. Not sure if it’s what you are looking for.
  17. Risto is the one who said that, and he was playing as good as he ever has in his life.
  18. This guy....... Oh to flutter through life without disappointment or regret. Does he really approach all areas of life like this? 1.5 years, no success, lost 12 in row.......had a blast, NHL is great fun, learned a lot, on to the next grand adventure! Its impressive honestly.
  19. Jason Karmanos is a very experienced FO person. Serving as a long time Assistant GM and Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations for both the Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins during their Stanley Cup winning seasons. He has won 3 Cups and has 20 years of experience in these positions.
  20. That person could be an Associate GM. That’s a title commonly given to an assistant who has lots of power/agency.
  21. By “in the interim”, I mean exactly that. Until you decide who your actual coach will be and get them in.
  22. That’s what I’ve thought too. He seems like a decent option, but he is still an unproven experiment. I think the time for experimenting is past. This team desperately needs stability .
