I think the Bills GM search didn't require nearly as much work as the Sabres. McD clearly is running the show over there. I'm sure he suggested some targets and the Pegulas hit the ground running. The sabres, otoh, had to start from ground zero.

I worked up on Edgemere Drive today at the long pond outlet. The water was shooting up out of the manhole covers, driftwood was all over people's lawns, it was a war zone. It's hard to fight that much water and come out on top.

Who's all heading out for the LOC Derby? This high water is going to put a real kink into my father's and my routine. It's over the bank at his place on Sandy Creek, so I don't think we'll be able to keep the boat in the water.

I'm not sure I could ever be happy about an injury, but that stretch of dirty pool from Crosby during the season has me feeling really indifferent about what may have happened to him.
