I listened to Granato talk but I heard him say nothing. Non-committal on everything even when asked if the goal is to be in the playoffs next season.
Really what do you expect.

Link. Didn't find it.

If he was signing with the Sabres he would have done it already once the Sabres were eliminated to get a meaningless game or two in to burn a year of the ELC . Not doing so, the obvious read is that he isn't signing.
Further I'm at the point of not caring. He doesn't, why should we?

VO has value but that value has been going down in my opinion. I'd be very pleased with a second round pick even a bottom half one.

Ray said in the broadcast that an email came out and it was determined it was not a distinct kicking motion. That's the explanation from Toronto.
I'll call as much BS as I can about it.. but clearly the Sabres should practicing using their skates to put pucks in the net. I would argue he was trying to kick it to his stick which would be a distinct kicking motion.
NHL wants more goals.. that's how you get more goals.
To be honest, I think they made correct call. I also think if it were our team that scored we'd have screamed to high heaven if it were reversed.

It is not 2 separate questions. Should Adams bring in a legit #1 goalie like Saros or not?
Even if he's available........ Probably not for the price. Also agree with a previous post it's amazing how so many armchair GM's think starting goaltenders grow on trees.

Disappointing. Good effort, but ultimately disappointing, and even more disappointing with Pittsburgh losing to Chicago at home.
Dare I say New Jersey is better coached than us? They are not that different from us in terms of talent, but they play a more structured and disciplined game, better team D, block more shots, intercept more passes, just better team structure. I guess they are in fact a good year or so ahead of us. Maybe we get their point total next year if we fix our holes.
Owen Power is quietly becoming very very good. Looking at his progress and development this year I think he will eventually be more important to this team than Dahlin. Maybe not as dynamic offensively, but more important in terms of an all around game. He also seems to elevate his game under pressure and the bigger the game the better he plays.
On the other hand, we need to upgrade Jokiharju and Bryson/Stillman. I don't think anyone will disagree that Bryson is terrible and Stillman is a bottom end sub at best but Jokiharju is also terrible. Sure, he has some good nights and occasional good offensive plays but he is simply a bad defenseman. Power deserves a better partner .
Really hope management makes the necessary moves this off season.
Agree with this assessment. Always liked Lindy as a coach. Having said this I'm not ready to dump DG but need to upgrade our defense and maybe some assistants. Overall this team from last part of last season through this season is an improved team by a lot.

We are back from our honeymoon. This is the first game I can watch since the Montreal game. It'll be the first win I see since the Toronto game. I have never seen Levi play. Go sabres
Congratulations. My wife and I celebrate #57 in a few days.

We in Sabresland are all disappointed that the playoffs are unlikely. But posts like this are so pathetic. Yes the playoffs are very unlikely, but who here is calling fans suckers for attending a meaningful game for the team in April other than you? Especially after beating the second best team in the NHL today where the opponent needed to win.
The Sabres have posted a ten point improvement over last year with four games to go. Virtually no one expected the playoffs with this roster a year ago today.
Troll if you must, but it’s poor form.
Agree, that guy should go root for another team and find their message board. Contempt is appropriate for his view.

A lot of this bad defense is common sense stuff that our guys just aren't learning/doing. We really need a coach that can teach these guys the basics. If they play even average defense, this is a very dangerous team.
Offense is fun..... Defense is work.

When you star defenseman has 70+ points, yes they do
That's why you need support for him. It's not all about defensemen and goaltenders. Added to his offense he's one of our best defenders. Don't see what you do I guess.

I'm feeling much better about Mitts than I was.

No, they don’t.
Also our forwards need to support and play defense.

The problem with Dahlin and Power is they focus more on their offensive that defense

ESPN+ is so trash
Well, our guy's aren't award winners. Do you listen to Rob Ray and our team?

Yup. The only contributors on the Canes who aren't 24+ and in their prime are Kotkaniemi and Jarvis. And you can see the difference in coaching in terms of defensive pressure, which you can do when you've got a great top-4 of defensemen all 28 years old (and Burns being paid under $2M with retention).
The Sabres can become this team, but it requires experience and a mindset change defensively.
I hope it's a mindset problem and not just players who don't know how to or aren't willing to play both sides of the ice.

Rob Ray is delusional. Good first 5 minutes and that’s all. Then all Carolina, even with 2 PP.
we were outshot 12-6.
We can skate around them, no problem. Can we play a stronger more physical game? We shall see.
He's just pathetic in his homer analysis.

Our bottom tier defenders can't compete with a team like this.
Bottom tier, did you say bottom tier?? You're describing our teams defense.

We are a step behind… Better wake up
Step behind. Again, we're not slow skaters but very slow reacting. Our defense has to change because we're a one dimensional team even when we are on offensively.

We're faster skating than we are reacting.
Adams And Granato Media Availability Wednesday: What Do You Want To hear?

No. My own opinion is bye,bye and maybe team wise not a bad thing. Unless there's something else other than just not wanting to be here. That's one KA mantra I agree with "we want players who want to be here".
