Go Swordsmen!
I have to rely on the SS Board Faithful for game updates.
Most of the working world can't watch. Just because its a bank/government holiday, doesn't mean they should schedule a game during the middle 9f the workday. Perhaps they thought they could fill the arena with government employees and schoolchildren?
Not sure the Sabres are responsible.

Jeff's trademark skating style. I got a thesaurus as an early xmas gift.
Rail against RaKru if you want. The story is not as simple as mean old Ralph kept Jeffrey from producing. Chicken vs. egg.
He had 37 points in 112 games over two seasons. Inconsistency has been a trademark of his career.
It's not all on Ralph.
Pray tell what about RK's coaching would you commend? He's probably a nice person? Asking for a friend.

Sabres are 0-11-1 when scoring 3 or less goals this season. What a wild stat. It’s super positive in a way because there’s clear runway for improvement, but also a massive indictment on the goaltending approach
That just may say something about our defense/goaltending.

DG rarely shows any passion or desperation… even during the eight game skid… Why would we expect his team to be different??… No killer instinct produces no finish and often exasperating heartbreak… Most here chalk it up to the roster and growing pains… I chalk it up to coaching and messaging… Most likely a combination of both
Disagree.

Did someone use Mitts in the same sentence with development? LOL!

Please Dan just call the play......quite with commentary and what's not actually happening on the ice. On radio......can't even follow the game with him.

Well TNT right on time..... Frozen screen for now about 25 minutes. Nice the NHL wants to sell their product but..........

WGR is bad. Of course, in my opinion, most sports talk radio is. In my perfect world sports radio would focus interviews GM's , coaches and players. Hosts hopefully less entertaining and better interviewing. Oh, please no call ins as most of the calls are just terrible.

Mittelstadt should be shopped, individually or in a package, while he has value… Buffalo is not the team for him… VO??… Can he be part of a bottom 6 and PP??… Perhaps… Depends on his desire…
Trade them both and get whatever you can. Pretty much done with both.

The problem isn't the coaching. He's working with the roster he has. The roster is starting to fill out. Our two top lines are good, and the second line will get even better. We have two good defensive pairings with Dahlin and Power anchoring each pair, and who will be top tier defensemen in the league. Dahlin already is in that top tier category. As is constantly repeated we need significant upgrades in net, another defenseman or two and a recasting of the third line. The GM could have done more this past offseason, he chose not to.
Agree except I don't dismiss coaching being a factor. Not sure I agree with LabattBlue that it's because of not having NHL experience though.

Didn't realize the game was on TNT last night. Found it at the End of tne 2nd...
Watched the 1st half of the 3rd period and went to bed disgusted
Glad they won, but what I saw is team chasing everything and not playing sound. The Redwings were just dominating... They were winning faceoffs and controling the puck and the Sabres had no answers in that stretch...
I see lots of people claiming goaltending as the main problem... What I saw had very little to do with goaltending.. It came down to system, they didn't seem to have one that was working..
Since I haven't seen much live Sabres I do not see them enough in real time to say goaltending is THE issue, but the team as whole was in complete dissaray for the about 12 minutes I did watch.Goaltending is an issue but not THE issue by any stretch. Last night our goaltending kept their goals down. Without Anderson they would have scored 8-10. We're terrible defensively and I'm beginning to look at coaching. We need to teach our forwards to play both ends for one thing.

Trade Mitts and OV for whatever you can get. Maybe a serviceable defenseman.

I like Donnie but I've never felt like he is going to be "The guy" when the time comes.
I like him too but this team doesn't seem to improve in any areas of defense. They collapse.

Must admit I'm starting to have doubts about our coaching and I've been a Granato supporter.

Imagine how many they'd have if not for Anderson? Probably seven at least.

We dominated for two periods. Time to get it back and win this.
I'm not sure we dominated except for Anderson.

This is a rerun of Tampa.

We've been fixated on goaltending but our overall defense is a problem even more then our goaltending.
