I find myself pulling for Boston b/c i think they prob have the best shot st knocking off the Leafs and Oilers of the world
-
And there it is. The funniest thing is the over the glass call also gets made to a certainty, so by the “let the boys play” process, and not calling anything in an effort to avoid “affecting” the game, they actually affect the game by picking and choosing which rules to enforce
-
A good rule in hockey is that if you have the lead in the 3rd, you play exclusively D and allow the other team to post up for 20 mins
-
The exact same thing with commentary teams. When these fans listen to their local Homers all year, OF COURSE when they hear the neutral national guy in the playoffs they think it’s biased b/c they can’t get beyond their own perspective. Why would it be that all the officials, the league, the commentators all just HAPPEN to be against “your” team? And yet every fan’s team? common denominator is clearly biased individual perspective

And then they score. The classic shot pass. Beauty. The swagger to just skate by Tkachuk and tap him, calm cool, collected. KA is right to want a culture because I want their culture. “Only” 1 cup but not even about that. Just being in the thick of it perennially and KNOWING it, once you put the sweater on

DUDE that’s such a badass look from Swayman
-
2 trips they could have called on Florida, let’s be honest the officials and league aren’t fixed. They’re just incompetent
-
Ahhhhhhhhhhh the French champagne .... Boston is strong. Very resilient. It did feel inevitable, in many ways
-
Clearly, the game has been fixed from on high
-
Hey Paul he hit him in the face that’s... indeed roughing
-
So you’re saying Adams f*cked up by losing him? Please, I’m trying to enjoy the game
-
It’s sarDOrian. No “mister”, accent on the “O”. (I’d be completely shocked if someone got this reference.) and I mean ya I agree with you but there’s really no “with me” on this b/c I’m not anywhere on it. It was honestly a completely innocuous comment akin to “he’s good” but literally every comment has to be analyzed inspected and thoroughly patted-down for potential Kevyn Adams slander. It’s so tiring
-
And for the record not everyone was driving him to the airport So not the only guy who mentioned wanting Montour? Sure
-
You people are obsessed with reading into comments for things that aren’t there and jumping in to white knight for the Sabres. “You all wanted”. Just stop already. No one needs to go back and read shite. My comment said exactly what it meant: dude is good and I wish he as still here. That’s it. It wasn’t a comment on Kevyn Adams doing something wrong
-
I was referring to Weave
-
Thanks Kevyn

Montour is the one that got away

2019 but ya. I definitely think it’s high time for a rebuild, but I agree with you I don’t see it happening this summer. Cheveldayoff is on a lifetime contract as GM so I don’t think he feels much pressure in ever doing anything

4 games thing is a good point

Right call I think I doubt it. The bruins found success this year partly *because* of the fact Swayman spelled Ullmark so much and they battled together (48 starts for Ullmark, 33 for Swayman). If you think about it, starting Ullmark 6 straight games was what was messing with a winning formula. If they advance, I imagine both GTs see work going forward

This day on Sabres history- The beginning of suffering
Thorny replied to Weave's topic in The Aud Club
I only wish someone had posted the research a double-digit amount of times that disproved this. /s Murray didn’t start “trading away all the assets” -

The fact we have been rebuilding for 10 years when teams generally turn things around much faster suggests it’s a lesson they are already aware of. - - - On a related tangent: There are people talking about how Tampa’s “cupboard is bare” (what a terrible franchise, right lol) and that they are headed for a long stretch of bad hockey, now. Teams don’t even/haven’t operated by the same parameters the sabres have in the past, and won’t. They’ll turn it around significantly quicker than our bias would have us believe, because we only know what we are used to. The transition from evaluating your team with the lowest of expectations and by how highly rated your prospect pool is, to evaluating your team relative to the *league itself* is a long one. Sabres had a great year relative to Buffalo, and, fact remains, a poor year relative to the league. That’s what 20th place is. -
Damn, wanted OT. Goalzzzz

Thanks for the reminder
