  1. I’ll rewind and look but I don’t think he was more specific
  2. Dreger just said on TSN that Buffalo is open for business to add a forward right now but are ok with being patient about it
  3. We haven’t acquired a player via trade since greenway 6 trades for nhl players since KA started his rebuild (post Stall / Hall). 2 were in dealing away Eichel and Ristolainen. Which I think can be fairly classified as special circumstance deals. The dumping of the old core. Not likely to be replicated in volume. We traded Lazar for Bjork, we traded…nothing (future consid.)? lol for Will Butcher, and then Stillman and Greenway. Only Stillman and Greenway have been traded for since dealing Eichel. I don’t know for certain without looking up all the teams but my sense is we’d be on the low end could be wrong. just don’t think so
  4. I don’t know if there’s a quick way to check but yes my sense is he’s more conservative than average. We made few moves this past offseason. I know movement isn’t crazy in the league in general but I think re: actual trades we’d be below average
  5. Urgh I tried to edit the “thanks for reminder” bit out, it was dickish. Too quick I mean, ya? Do you think it’s fair to classify him as more conservative relative to average in making trades, just in general? My sense is yes. I see no reason why that wouldn’t also apply to in season
  6. - - - because it’s what I think will happen? Your “first of all” paragraph there in bold is already something I got to first, which I suppose helps answer your question as it’s informing my stance. I bolded it above. As for your next point, I addressed that as well (italicized in your post and two times in mine above). I already included a caveat for deadline deals. Again, informing my stance Do I think we will see a trade before the deadline because of the anomaly of the Jack Eichel situation? No There’s Jost. Yes I already backed down from that, I could see an equally trivial waiver wire add
  7. We won’t add anyone until the deadline at earliest
  8. I dislike how Columbus keeps subbing themselves into our matchups at will
  9. Have to learn to ride the wave until things steady out one way or another. Then again, it could be that our identity IS Jekyll and Hyde right now
  10. Probably a function of getting jazzed up by wins, when their record following a win this season is 1 win, 8 losses. 9 and 3 following a loss
  11. Ya I think Bennett had a shoulder injury which resulted in that Crosby’s dominant 2-way game sets him apart
  12. I think it’s pretty damn performative lol He’s literally cosplaying Qui-Gon Jinn
  13. I’m definitely in the minority on this but I’d rather him hold off on the performative stuff like that at the nhl level until he actually establishes as a player to be reckoned with at the level they have to scrape that area of the ice anyways, it’s probably just a non-starter going forwards regardless
  14. I was exaggerating anyways, obviously. I try to be logical. Spock still snaps on occasion
  15. It’s not semantics, because in my original post I made a caveat for trade deadline and you still issued the greenway correction The correction doesn’t apply because I already thought of him and had him under the deadline designation already mentioned I forgot about Jost
  16. My dad loves it. He’s a pro
  17. Board was certainly stunningly off on this. I’m not making a point it’s just inarguably true. 53 people of 54, a stunning margin, said he’d be a full time starter with 40/50 games
  18. Much of the optimism re: Levi in college was that his team was giving up a lot of shots ie he wasn’t being buoyed by his defence. Considering the amount “Miller” “Price” and “Hasek” are thrown around with him, I think it’s going to be ok for people to expect him to be good even while his team needs to lean on him. Maybe not right away, but the point with Levi was that he wasn’t going to be one of these “what could he even have done? Short of prime Hasek..” guys. He should get to the point in Rochester where he’s simply good, no matter what, if we are looking for him to become a Miller If he’s another guy that needs ideal defence or he’s just “not the problem” rather than an active solution, he’ll look more of the same as UPL/Comrie have at the NHL level until he presumably gets a bit of a jump some years on like UPL Honestly I expect a pretty good AHL performance after he settles in
  19. As long as goalie 2 plays poorly his offseason approach towards the goaltending won’t sit well with me. I already gave him the benefit of the doubt with Levi, ie having one guy, and maybe that’s now UPL. But under the scenario where we “had” Levi we all wanted a capable 2: we still don’t have the capable 2 im good with giving Adams credit specifically for sticking with UPL. But I’ll reiterate, entering in with 3 unknowns and one emerging, after a time, and after precious standings ground has been lost, still isn’t a great plan. I’m good with not torching it but it’s not a “wow great job.”. Entering into the season with a more stable duo would have been far superior The reason we couldn’t was still the result of Adams overall approach to the position in now 4 seasons results results results
  20. Ya Greenway to me was a deadline deal Edit: yes, it was on deadline day like I mentioned
