Oh look, they are having end of season media availability, just like every team does every season.
Except the Jets...

Don't worry about Fleury.... He'll be pullin' down $10M the next couple of seasons for the Sabres. Gotta hit that cap floor somehow.
Better MAF than the screwy from St. Louis...

The moral of the story tonight is I should really start betting on sports.
I put a hun on Eichel to score tonight.
Odds were so good I couldn't refuse.

Craig MacTavish was the last player without a helmet.
Lafleur actually wore a helmet first for the first few seasons.
More moves than a pail of worms.
His headstone should read...The best player on the best team to ever play the game.

Helle pulled again tonight after letting in 7 goals.

How bout Comrie? Can he be a starter in your opinion?
Not in the NHL.

Portillo most likely is trade bait right now, as he should be. Let him be involved in a trade for another goalie.
He's had quite a few bad games this year and the team in front of him isn't doing him any favors.

We need @Ducky to help out. Is Winnipeg looking to make a partial rebuild? That is the only way I can see when they would make Hellebuck available. We would have make it worth their while in any event.
We need help but I'm not sure trading Helle is the way to go; however, I don't think Helle re-signs with the Jets. I have no reason or quotes or anything of that nature to think this, it is just a gut feeling.
I don't think we need a rebuild with players like Connor, Ehlers, PLD, JMo, Perfetti and Helle...maybe a re-tool?
I thought Dillon and Schmidt were going to be a big help but it turns out they are just a big caphit. I would've traded both of them at the TD but Chevy is STILL holding out hope of making the playoffs...
Giving the HC duties to Lowry was a huge mistake and I think the team gets one more year with a new coaching staff before players futures are decided.
I think Chevy has 2 more years if the team continues to flounder.
edit ... there is nobody in the system ready to take over for Helle.

That guy is freaking horrible.
I usually watch the opponent's feed but I had to turn it back to the Jets' feed tonight.

Assistant Coach under Lindy in charge of defense. Damn fine coach, well liked and well respected. A player’s coach. Took over as HC for a few games in 2012 when Lindy was injured. He’s a good one.
He's a Winnipegger and is currently coaching the Winnipeg Ice. If they win their next game, they will have won 50 of 65 games and two of his players are ranked in the top 10 in the upcoming draft.
Fans are talking about him as a HC here next season and I was wondering what Sabres' fans thought of him.

James Patrick was an assistant with the Sabres and I was just wondering what his job was and how he did? Did he coach the PP or PK? Took care of the D men?
Thanks in advance.

I know I’ve pushed back a lot on people wanting fighting for fighting sake. It’s probably no surprise that my favorite player of all time was the guy who won Lady Byng trophies, renounced ever fighting again in the NHL, and yet had the talent the score over 50 goals almost every year in the NHL. It formed my opinion that greatness flowed through skill and not fists.
Given his Lady Byng winner status, I didn’t know if you were taking a jab at his unwillingness to to fight. I’m glad it wasn’t.
I grew up a Habs fan watching them dominate in the 70s and 80s. That ended with the Isles dynasty and you could see them coming. Torrey built one hell of a team there.
Bossy is one of my favorite all time players and nobody could convince me that Ovi, Gretz, Hull, Lemieux, etc... are/were better goal scorers.
The mistake was because I was on my phone and I use a voice to text app. It doesn't always type what I say and I don't always proof it before I send it.

Damm, the Jets goalie is huge. Gonna have to get him moving to beat him.
He's the reason we aren't down by a bunch.
Pretty pathetic gaf for a team supposedly in a playoff race.

No KFC or Schit tonight.
Seeing as I hate to get shutout, I am hoping for a 2-1 Sabres' win.

I watched that game. I didn't think Vegas had a chance. They had more shots on goal but the best scoring chances where by the Jets and VGN had low percentage shots.
If not for Helle, the Jets lose this game.

The have a team. It's called the Buffalo Sabres.
Seriously, the Buffalo metro area has the highest % of people of Polish decent in the US. Cheektowaga is almost 40% Polish. Why shouldn't Buffalo be designated Poland's team.
Lotsa holobchis and perogies!!!!

With so many countries in that part of the world having really good national teams or other in-house competitive leagues, why doesn’t a country large as Poland have its own hockey infrastructure?
Easy explanation. Poland isn't a very rich country and they have next to no indoor arenas. Almost all of the hockey is played outdoors on the Baltic Sea. When a player gets a breakaway, they never see him again......

The Sabres are making me some coin this year and I am taking advantage of some great odds.
100 buck bet won me 270 bucks tonight!

Mitts..I'd still like to see a deal centering around Copper (re-signed) and Mitts.
Copper would be a great add for the Sabres and is an excellent 2nd line - 3rd line tweener. The best defensive forward we have had for years. I'd put an A on him if he re-signed here but we aren't going to be able to afford him and I've always liked Mitts.
Islanders Fire Trotz after 4 seasons.
