I’m not sure the Jets can go that deep.
If Helle gets hot, we definitely can.

Good game guys.
The end score flattered us.
Next time we meet, let's hope it's the playoffs...

They took Keith Tkachuk with the pick we sent them.
Pretty sure we swapped firsts and you guys got the higher pick...still the worst trade in Jets' history. Mike Smith should be hung up by his balls and shot with his own shyte.
We have great summers here and world class hunting/fishing is not far away at all. I hate the winters and can hardly wait to retire so I can leave for 4 months of the year.
We stole 2 points the last time we met. I'd like to see us win this one 1-0 in a shootout.

Where would Chychrun play?
Aren't Dahlin and Power both LHD?

Toughest player I have seen in all my years of following the sport.
He said, "There's a difference between being hurt and being injured."

He wins you a lot of games. I hope he's appreciated there. I've wanted him here since his WJC year.
Most fans have no illusions where we'd be without him...just look at our games without him in net or when he has the rare bad game.

We were lucky to get the 2 points.
Helle won us the game.

Helle in net (Rittich will play tomorrow) after his worst showing in years...he usually has a strong game after a bad one.
The team has played poorly the last few games.
Ehlers Wheeler, Perfetti and Schmidt all came back from injury about three games ago and Wheeler looks like he hasn't shaken off the rust yet but the others have.
PLD is having a career year as is Morrissey so these are the 2 skaters the Sabres have to be aware of.
KC has been scoring again and Ehlers' wheels are back. Good to see him back after missing over 30 games.
The KC PLD Ehlers line has been playing well since Ehlers came back.
Gotta love these 6 pm starts!

Barkhov not playing up to his usual standard. Reinhart also. Duclair had 30 goals for them last year and he hasn't played a game. That is a lot of missing offense from just 3 players. Ekblad has missed about 1/4 of the season for them, and when he has played he just isn't himself. And Bobrovsky's save percentage is about 20 points less than it was last year. That pretty much sums of 80% of their problems this year.
You forgot the hiring of Maurice.

I'd gladly take Rhino on the Jets for the right price if he re-signed for 6 years.

Would love to get @Ducky‘s thoughts on the Jets so far successful, I’d argue somewhat surprising season thus far, and how it pertains to the idea in the offseason they seemed headed for a rebuild.
Has that shifted? Just a retool now? Or do you expect the bottom to fall out?
Imo it’s tough to fully rebuild in this sorta situation because Hellebuyck basically provides them a get into the playoffs free card whenever he has an “on” season
Hellebuyck is the front runner for the Vezina.
Scheif has awoken under Bones and remembered how to play D.
Morrissey has the nickname Norrissey.
Perfetti is on pace for over 50 points.
PLD is playing like a beast (gone this summer).
Up until last game Wheeler had 26 points in 29 points for a 82 game pace of 76 points.
We are in a scrap for first place with Dallas.
Ehlers isn't due back until after the holidays (played 2 games this season). They lost Wheeler for over a month last game due to surgery for taking a puck in the nuts. Schmidt is gone for 4-6 weeks after a hit to the head last game. Appleton is out and only played 14 games so far.
The next month will show us what we have for depth.
I see us finishing no lower than 3rd in our division but if we are in 2nd place 5 weeks from now, I'll be ecstatic.
Chevy has to do something and bring in a top 6 RWer in my opinion. I'd give up a lot for Travis Konecny.

There were many times where Comie was under siege. He remained calm in the net.
The young players will get better and the lines will get more cohesive. It's early in the season but if the goalie play remains at this level, I will expect this team to be in the playoff hunt up to the end of the season. What the Florida and Edmonton games demonstrated is that good goaltending will compensate for the talent disparity.
He had lots of practice last year.
Great to see he is doing well, he deserves it.
I'd love to see Calgary get shut out, can't stand that team.

Is Mitts playing the wing?
Glad most of you are happy with Comrie.

Sad to hear. He carved out a solid career as a journeyman goalie.

Couldn't find his thread so I'll ask here.........how is "wild eyes" (Comrie) playing for you guys. I wish him all the best. From everything I have heard about him, you couldn't meet a nicer guy.
Another player I'll ask about is Mitts?
Too busy with work/hunting/fishing/mushroom picking/Jets TC to keep up to much.
-
If he plays top 6 and gets pp time and if he stays healthy, he'll get about 45 points...more than half in goals.
-
I think he will be in a group of 5 or 6 players mentioned for the Calder until Christmas or so.
Ater Christmas, the list is probably narrowed down to 2 or maybe 3 players.
