This just came out in yesterday's local Winnipeg papers....this is taken from an article written about Buff. Byfuglien, who at one point last season told his agent to let Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff know if he didn’t trade Kane he would someday have to move him.

I'm too lazy to do it but if you go on http://video.jets.nhl.com/videocenter/and look at the interviews with Ladd and Wheeler, you will see by their comments that they don't want to talk about Kane and are questioning why they aren't being questioned about the upcoming games(s). You'll see some of that from both of them a few days ago when asked by reporters for a response about Kaner's comments. Essentially, they play on a TEAM and want don't want the prima donna to be the focus instead of the team. Thorny, This thread is about a major trade between the 2 teams, shouldn't there be some talk of the Jets on here? I don't "tear down two former Jets players". I have given my honest evaluation of them if you care to read my posts... I love the way Kaner plays on the ice....off the ice? ... He should have John Ferguson as a team mate to tune him up and teach him how to be someone his team is actually proud of. Bogo plays a tough game, is a good team player but sometimes takes really dumb penalties, misses games and he can add a bit of O. Both players are good skaters with Kane having world class speed. Too bad he has little class off of it... You'll see what I mean in a year or two and until then, good luck with him. I live less than 15 minutes away on acreage on a gravel road. There are 7 houses on the mile I live on and next to no traffic. Canada Geese feeding in the fields all over the place and wildlife close by. I went for a ride one hour north yesterday and saw my 2nd wolf ever 1030 in the morning....really cool. I like the fact that Winnipeg is close by for entertainment, has some great ethnic restaurants, getting things you don't have access to in smaller communities and so forth but I dislike most bigger cities and I consider a city big after 75k or so. Most winters here are cold and long but I try to go away somewhere warm for 3 weeks most winters.

It was mainly because those two thought the spotlight should be on the team and not any one person and were vocal about it...... They are tired of answering questions about a cancer that is no longer here.... I noticed he didn't want to drop them with Buff tho....smart man that Evander.

I just finished watching video of the Jets' players reaction to Kaner's comments..... you should watch them and read between the lines. Ladd, Wheeler, Maurice and Thorburn (a close friend of Kaner's while he was here) have too much class to come out and say anything outright, but you can read between the lines and see they wish Kaner would just disappear and shut his big yap. Even the TSN guys are rolling their eyes and telling him to move on. Quite immature behavior if you ask me. Oh, and ya, we're a better team without Kane.

He'll probably be on the IR with Bogo when they come here. I would like to see Kaner and Buff meet in the corner though.

Another slow evening yesterday. Two of us got 4 ducks. Two mallards and 2 Redheads......good color on them which tells me these are northern ducks. Hopefully they are starting to move down. We had a flock of about 2500-3000 mallards go over us about 400 yards up just before dark. They were set and weren't flapping their wings and I would guess they landed about a mile or so behind us. Neat to see and hear but would have been nice if they came into our dekes. Back at it Thursday!

Ya, the Jets fan favorite is Buff but we are racist.... What you bolded was what he complained about or did before the trade. Opening his mouth yesterday and whining shows his lack of class. I'm glad he is gone. So far, Stafford has more than replaced him and there is no internal bickering centered around Kane. He wasn't traded because management wanted him gone, he was traded because his team mates wanted him gone. He was playing through a shoulder injury but as soon as the sweatpants went into the shower, he wants surgery....like a spoiled little brat that he is.

He complained before the trade and now he is whining after the trade...show some class and button it and move on. Do I like him? As a hockey player, I think he plays old school hockey at its finest which I really like. as a team mate and a person, he leaves a LOT to be desired.

Trolling? He missed meetings... He was late to meetings... He was warned about the dress code before the trade... This is trolling? Why is it whenever Bogo is "hurt" at a practice, nothing is said immediately after the practice? Other players that were dinged up in practice leave the game and reporters notice this and question the coach after the practice....this never happened with Bogo's "injuries". What's going on? The Jets wouldn't say a bad word about him even after the trade and he starts whining like a little baby after the trade...glad he is gone. The Jets are looking for a certain type of player and Kane doesn't fit that bill... On a sidenote, I'm not sure Lemieux fits the bill either. He was crying and complaining in the article released yesterday wasn't he?

Miles ahead of never making the playoffs. The young players have seen the playoffs now and will be aware of what it takes to win in the post season. Had we not made the playoffs, how would they know? Also, how much did the owners make extra for those two games? 4 million? Kane can keep on crying all he wants, he is gone and I am glad....the cancer has been removed.

It certainly helped us make the playoffs though. Did Kane have to whine about his time here....he isn't here any more, move on and quit being a crybaby already. The team didn't have my back wahhhhh I have to go to meetings on time wahhhhhh I have to dress up while traveling with the team wahhhhhhhh They won't let me put me before the team wahhhhhh etc... I am glad he is gone because as good as he was on the ice, he was a detriment to the team off the ice and we are a better team after the trade.

Not at all. There were rumors here that he liked to dabble in some illegal substances....these rumors were started a few times and from different sources. How is he hurt when nobody can find the play that he was hurt?

Are you sure Bogo is hurt? Did anyone see the play that hurt him. He was mysteriously "hurt" a few times while here and nobody ever saw the play.

Only a Sabre fan would say Myers and Bogo are a wash....the fact that Stafford finished his season here gave us the inside edge to re-sign him so that has to be taken into consideration.

In which way? Also, if he is back in 4 weeks, it is probably too soon.

He plays on the checking line and also plays PK and PP.... 5 goals and 2 assists in 8 games and is a plus player. 26 points in 34 games since he got here....I have no problem with Stafford's play at all. I'm not sure it was a change of scenery more than a team that plays a disciplined D game but he is one of the better players on the team right now.

Not sure what he meant about not having his back but when you constantly miss or come late to practices and don't dress to the team's dress code he is acting like a prima donna. Why should he be above team rules? The act wore thin with the players and management had no choice but to trade him. Most everyone is happy the cancer in the room is gone and the trade looks better every day. Stafford is more than replacing his points and knows how to play D AND use his line mates properly. To talk trash after you are out of somewhere is a bush move.....Maurice was asked about it and took the high ground, something Kane would never do. He can be a dominant player on the ice but off the ice...
