My observation of the glaring system mistake by Dan was the non existent forecheck in the third period.
They had 0 (zero) forecheckers down low on the dumps. Even when they entered the zone with possession no one was down around the goal line.
That was super passive prevent.
Top six?
You mean Dan's top three pairs, then switching the 2nd winger around as he see's fit or by circumstance?
The top three pairs are pretty close in ice time. So, I would have no problems with that approach as Sam as the 3rd pair center.
If that's the worst hockey dust up between teams/coaches/refs that is caught on a phone and put on you-tube, then the sport of hockey and all of it's participants are not doing to bad of a job at teaching sportsmanship.
There is a heck of a lot worse going on at games in all different sports than that.
I feel most sorry for the ref that got crushed by the kid coming out of the penalty box. Man, did he hit the ice hard.
As for the rest of the players/coaches involved in their acts of stupidity, I hope they get what they deserve.
