  1. Your question was "In other words, he's no different than the last two failed GMs who held the job before him?" I answered your question with basically he wasn't off the street like Murray and Botterill was, he was in the organization already. Being around since basically 2011, don't you think he knows how the Pegulas are? Again, he has assurances or he wouldn't have taken the position. I didn't like the hire, but the guy is smart. He has been a player, coach, agent, and worked on the business side, he took his time to add to his staff, made changes on the fly when necessary (Nightingale) and is going slow and deliberate.
  2. He's very different. He came in on the business side, observed, and made recommendations to gut it. He then helped do the same to the hockey department. He gained the Pegula's trust, and has assurances he will be given the time to see his vision succeed.
  3. Bingo. And this is the card the Eichel Camp is playing looking for a move.
  4. Frolik was a "Krueger Special", a player Ralph requested. Unfortunately, JB fulfilled it. 😐
  5. Also, don't be shocked when Eichel is traded and doesn't have any type of surgery done on his neck.
  6. Granato said he is flying commercial so I am guessing 7 days but I really don't know.
  7. Arttu in for Fogarty, Caggiula in quarantine. By the end of his week there, there will spots open probably.
  8. Caggiula did as well until this year.
  9. This is a good pick up, think Colin Blackwell with a little more grit. I like it.
  10. Every article I see reads like Rutherford fired him after "evaluating our Hockey Operations department", his direct quote. Fired October 26th, 2020, Rutherford resigned January 28th. It may have been a part of why he resigned, but not THE reason. It does seem they are very close personally.
  11. Just to add, Rutherford fired Karmanos in Pittsburgh, for what it's worth.
  12. Jesper Olofsson stayed home to play due to all the uncertainty. I am looking forward to seeing Dalton Smith, he worked on his skating and skills in the off season. UPL as well, he needs to show the AHL isn't too big for him. Red jerseys are sweet.
  13. Yes. My guess, and this is just my feeling, he knew him previously and thought his PK/defensive skills would help immediately. (sorry, I didn't quote this properly)
  14. Frolik was someone Ralph wanted and requested.
  15. A very good signing for Rochester, nice to see.
  16. He had that number in Junior and with Edmonton, he likes the look of a single number and as an homage to Jean Beliveau.
  17. I would love to see Fleury in blue and gold, always one of the best dressed and has good takes on equipment and designs. Oh, he's also a good goalie and would be perfect as that "bridge" guy for a few years.
  18. He interviewed with Brian Duff and said he chose number 4. Would have chose 9 if available.
  19. I feel if Houser plays anywhere besides Cincinnati the Amerks and Sabres are in trouble.
  20. Thank you. People seem to forget Johansson played really well last year for Rochester.
