  1. Thompson injured playing on the PK in a game they are losing 6-1. That's great coaching right there.
  2. We've been pounding the table for the team to sign a legit top 2 veteren to play with Dahlin since he was a rookie. To his credit, Dahlin managed to develop without one, but the team could still use a guy like that on the team. And Power can use the same. He's swimming right now and can use a veteren mentor who can keep up with him. Unfortunately, the bargain basement clowns hired to GM this franchise don't agree with us.
  3. This team is full of skilled perimeter-passing wall flowers. Never seen a group of guys more willing to pass the puck out of the slot.
  4. Why would Gallant work with Adams? Gallant is going to want to age up the lineup, something Adams won't do.
  5. Adams has built a young team that exerts no effort. What a total s###show.
  6. Rob Ray's advice is to just hang with the worst team in the conference to get to the third period. The minimal effort approach. Fits this group well.
  7. OC Brady took advantage of Dallas' smaller defensive front seven. The Bills have proven that their offensive line can play a physical game. I don't think Miami can play that type of physical game. Dallas has a better match up against Miami on both sides of the ball than it had against Buffalo.
  8. At this point, what experienced coach would want to work under Adams? The three-headed goalie mess, the 11-7 game day rosters, the underwhelming and infrequent trades and signings. An experienced coach would see Adams as an unserious GM, and wouldn't want to jeopardize his career working for him.
  9. If Biron and Ray (and every poster here) can see this team is a bunch of wall flowers, how can the coaching staff not spend every minute of offensive possession time screaming "GET OF THE EFFING WALL!!!!" at the top of their lungs?
  10. A young team that plays with zero energy. That's the Sabres. Showing how much they want to be here.
  11. Could have retired and ended up with an announcing job in Denver instead of playing in Granato's free-for-all defensive system.
  12. I followed Ruff's teams. Generational goalie with an undermanned offense. You want me to re-watch Game 5 of CONFERENCE FINAL to make the point that Ruff was 'hilariously inept?' Why don't I watch all of Granato's 'incredibly competent' playoff wins. That aren't any? Okay. Granato's team was the third highest scoring team in the league last season and ended up with a negative goal differential. His Sabres had 5 20+ goal scores and the team finished 19th in the league. The last time the Sabres had that many 20+goal scorers they won the President's Trophy. Under Ruff. And we can all blame the goaltenders under Granato, but he's been more than happy to share his offense-first philosophy with anyone who would listen the last three years. No surprise that the team defense under Granato has been "hilariously inept." So you want to frame an evaluation of Granato's performance against Krueger or Housley or Bylsma, feel free. But let's be careful when comparing him to a coach who could actually, you know, coach.
  13. How is this a good point? The Sabres made the Stanley Cup final in Ruff's 2nd season. The Sabres have missed the playoffs Granato's 3 seasons. There are no comparisons between the two.
  14. New GM too. Time to tell Adams and Granato thanks for the pipeline and cap space, but it's time to turn it over to guys who know how to translate that into wins.
  15. Has anything KA done in his 4 seasons in Buffalo lead anyone here to believe that he's going to make a substantial, win-now type of trade?
  16. Before he hangs out the for-sale sign, maybe he can hire people who aren't complete newbs at their jobs.
  17. And an actual NHL GM. Right now we have a great Director of Player Development, not a GM.
  18. Even with puck possession and an empty net these guys are looking to pass first.
