10 games, 10 points. Not on playoff pace. There are promising things happening on the team, but more work needs to be done. It's time to fire Adams. Tuch's contract, the three-headed goalie situation, three highly paid defensemen who can't play on a line together. Turn it over to Jarmo to see if he can make the decisions needed to get the Sabres into the playoffs. -
I seriously doubt that. There've been a few, but not 2 dozen.

Yeah, that's why he was available late in the first round. By-passing him though triggered a lot of the local media types, which sort of started the Beane-is-ignoring-WR narrative that continues while Coleman struggles.

Yeah, no doubt. Beane has referenced the weather in winter multiple times when discussing building the Bills roster. He cited needed a strong-armed QB to play in bad weather when he drafted Allen. So in his mind, running the ball is a big part of winning in December and January. The Bills run game, which is one of the best in the league, uses heavy sets and 9 man blocking schemes. But I also believe that he watched Diggs get manhandled enough in the playoffs (where PI and defensive holding calls are few and far between), that he also decided that he wanted bigger pass catchers. Which is why he drafted Kincaid and Coleman. Because of this, I don't think he saw Worthy as an outside receiver in the Bills offense. He'd saw him as an inside guy, and he already has Shakir on the roster.

Beane traded a first rounder for Diggs, used a 2nd on Coleman, traded a 3rd for Cooper, used a 4th rounder on Davis, and a fifth on Shakir. He signed Beasley, Brown, and Palmer as FAs. Additionally, he used a 1st round pick on Kincaid and a 3rd on Knox. He signed an outstanding 3rd down back in FA in Johnson. Aside from defensive line, during his tenure as GM, Beane has spent more draft assets and cap space on pass catchers for Allen than any other position group. The argument that Beane doesn't value receivers for Allen isn't true. The type of receivers he values, however, can be debated. Aside from Brown, Beane hasn't added speedy, downfield threats. Instead he favors bigger, possession WRs. And they want these guys to block for the run game. Beane, McDemott, and Brady aren't looking to out throw cover 2 defenses. That approach left the building with Daboll. They want a ball-control, possession offense, and their personnel decisions reflect this strategy. That's why they chose Coleman over Worthy. Is that the right approach? That's the real question. Allen won the MVP under Brady, but, you know, the Chiefs in the playoffs.
