I was supposed to have a little league game to coach tonight but that was cancelled because they left the sprinklers on. Happy to get to watch live after taking the last year off from watching them as they aired.

Very strong chance our middle-6 gets absolutely caved for a long stretch of games until they find their footing.

It might not have been clear but that's what I meant. The ads on the Habs boards are all the same whether they are transposed or shown actually on the board. It appears that they are generating them so they are brighter and stick out more. Granted this is an SN broadcast so I don't know if it's national in canada or not. Just noticed they changed during the broadcast so forget what I said. At one point the ads were definitely the same only brighter and cleared when they were able to transpose.

If all three hit their potential as the type of players they are, we will be happy to have Cozens even if he doesn't have the same electricity as the other two. With that said, I have more confidence in the two we didn't draft* than the one we did to hit their peak.

Even without those additions I think he would be. I think he's closer to 2021 playoffs than he is 2022 regular season.

I can't find the post now, but someone had mentioned earlier about the digitally transposed ads on the broadcast. I may be losing my mind watching this TOR-MTL but it looks like the ads are transposed for visibility so long as the camera angle allows it. The camera just seemed to shift from transposed ad to actual on-board ad when they changed camera and all the ads were the same. If that's not the case, the Habs definitely tens of thousands of LED lined in their boards.

I knew this was coming since they are often mentioned in the same sentence in terms of regression. This should surprise nobody, but I guess we'll know a bit more as the season progresses.

As someone who plays too much Franchise Hockey Manager according to his girlfriend, I'll say these are the type of deals that build dynasties. I don't offer Tage-type contracts, but top-4 locked up long term goes a long way.

I think that top line has a 65% chance of being a top 32 scoring. That second line has about a 30% chance of being a top 64 scoring line. The third line has a 25% chance at being a top 96 scoring line. The fourth line with KO in for Vinny should be a top 20 line defensively pretty guaranteed.

Pretty sure Toronto has a large enough budget that even if someone gets injured in pregame skate out in Vancouver or LA they can just throw a Marlie on a jet and get them there before puck drop.
