Uh no. If you looking for something watch his second and third effort around the goal he is controlling possession deep. And he has two goals.

Why does Bogo just throw pucks blindly? Yeesh
-
That was the same play Kane was hurt on. Risto has to be smarter
-
I don't thank you can tinker with that line until they go cold. Be nice to have another one like it and I think Jack Sam and Kane can do that. Girgs afinogennis and Baptiste and you have 4 lines with Flg.
-
Risto earning his payday. Nice to see him controlling the puck in the o zone.
-
Not intentional. But needs to be smarter.
-
Throwing the bs flag. Risto and Gorges are still together. ;)

Tell me again how Franson is better than McCabe. Great play to set Okposo free. Nice shot by Kyle.

790 after "helping" the boys with a bet on the Panthers. So to do my part. 2 units on the Peg.

Evander Kane arrested on misdemeanor charge for June nightclub incident
3putt replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
Here we go again you and I. Wasn't he charged with non criminal trespass? If so he was never facing criminal charges but rather what amounts to public safety ordinance violations. So he didn't evade anything. In fact, ordinance violations are somewhat binary in the conduct proscribed. One could read these facts and say that the authorities are done placating the complainants, and dismissed on grounds that even if their allegations were true, there is no liability criminal or otherwise. Another interpretation of the events for your consideration. -
At 1165. 3 units on the Panthers

But some of it is on the players and their inability to get open. Sometimes it comes down to winning a one on one. -

Only caught the third. Here is an observation. When the team was clicking last year, the first instinct was pass. No stick handling just get it move it and get in positions to get it back and shoot. So far this year I noticed a lot of holding the puck take a stride and then look for a pass. That split second allows any defense to collapse and cut off passing lanes. Some of that is that teams do not fear our speed with Jack and Kane out (though Afinigennis did back up the d a few times). And we are slow. But some of that is also a bit of confidence or lack thereof. I think a few bounces the right way and the flow we are craving can eek back in. This is a test of the resolve of all players not named Eichel and Kane. I suspect TM is taking notes but he needs enough of a sample size to be relatively certain of any moves he wants to make. -

Borgen? He is in College and isn't even signed. Not an option at this point. -

Maybe he was just a guy who saw his chance for 15 minutes in the spotlight. -
but your premise is that there is a good coach waiting out there. A new coach waiting for his shot may or may not be good. If they truly feel they are the next big thing, they will shoot their career in the foot by jumping into a situation that may permanently derail their career. Many do and are taken off the future consideration list. Pettine is an example.

Objection! Assumes fact not in evidence. Coaching opportunities are cyclical. They are not federal judges. If the opportunity seems tenuous and there is a history of knee jerk reactions to temporary conditions, a good coach may decide to wait for the next opportunity. Remember Babcock created essentially his own position by simply making himself available and driving the process.

It's his job to identify and select talent. You don't take a lesser talent who is more mature over a greater talent who is a year or two away. As to the first, believing something can be accomplished more quickly is not the same as promising to accomplish it more quickly. Murray has repeatedly stated his goal is to get better everyday. He also said you build through the draft, trades and add free agents to get you over the top. The first element requires time for prospects to develop. And in his opening presses, he stated that the goal was not simply to make the playoffs but to be a perennial contender to win it all. I have issues with some of his moves in isolation, but can see that he is playing a long game. His extension probably means he has sold that vision to Pegula.
-
Your are wrong. Murray did not promise a fast turnaround. He said he does not believe in 5 year rebuilds. That is not a promise of any kind. The maturation of young players is beyond his control. You also ignore his other comments where he said the goal is to build a sustainable team capable of perpetually winning it all. That takes time. Be angry you don't get immediate gratification with a first round exit. But be accurate if you are going to attribute comments to someone.

But only if they play at weird hours so it is live here. Taped results sucks

I cautioned that expectations should have been tempered about this team. A lot of things needed to go right in order to make the playoffs. So far they have gone in the opposite direction. I don't worry about Samson or Jack or even Risto at this point because I believe they can and will improve. I do believe we need more speed up and down the line up and players that despise losing possession of the puck. I also think this is an aberration and that they are not as bad as they seem. But I am concerned that our big investments are not making a bigger impact now when we need them most. ROR. Okposo and Lehner cannot be merely good they have to help carry the team until reinforcements arrive. I think they will. But we needed big jumps from a lot of players and we haven't gotten them so far. We aren't far off from last year, but we needed to be light years ahead to have any chance at the post season and that is probably unrealistic to expect that.

Ennis doesn't play defense. We lack speed and the hands to make a difference. Speed is only as good ones ability to play with it. I'll give Ennis a pass for the first 15 games as he re acclimates to the league. But I think you need to throw out notions of the roles of lines. You need to be able to roll 4 and the style shouldn't change. That is what causes constant pressure and being "tough to play against". We don't have enough of any one type of player to build that identity. Yet.
