I make a distinction between what we endured and what TO and AZ is doing, but that is my own rationalization. And I prefer Anthony. ;) If Tanking includes suiting up a top pair D then I am confused as to what is really going on. The guy is suffering from a potentially career threatening "lower body injury" and management is not taking the precaution of shelving him for the year? I bet Lundquist is glad he is in NY. :flirt:

I know how good OEL is, he is the only piece that I would consider mandatory from the Sabres perspective. I looked at the Oil and couldn't find anyone that same piece.

Maybe not, but new owner, tank season, disappointed fan base, might be a move they make just sell tickets.

Everyone seems to be of a consensus that nobody would trade the #1pick. That has a lot to do with one's impression of the gap between McDavid and Eichel. But what if...the Sabres have the 1 and the Yotes have the 2, would you entertain the Yotes 2015 1st, 2016 1st, Oliver Ekman Larson, Max Domi, Brendan Perlini for our 2015 1st and the Isles 2015 second? That may be hefty price, but for the sake of argument assume the Yotes would pay. Would you do it?

Doan could also be thinking the best waynto transition to the Yotes FO is to be a "team" player now. I have seen some decion making this past month that was very un-Doan like.

I think you can get a good idea of what the Sabres will like in 2016 by taking a gander at the Sens. Since Neil has been out they roll 4 lines and dont let up. The only difference is the potential addition of a Toews or Crosby like player. -
Or as in the game last night, having a 3 on 1 and not getting a shot off, turning it over and having a 2 on 1 the other way. I thought I was seeing things. They make dumb disinteretsd plays constantly.

I think they have stopped caring, and are resigned to a lost season. The mental sharpness is not there. I do not subscribe to players throwing games, it is not in there best interest to help the club draft their replacement.

We will lose one of two and Damigo, Ellis et al will see there NHL futures begin to fade and rip off 3 straight for old times sake. I have watched the last 7 Yotes games andnthere is no explanation for the boneheaded plays they make. They are seldom woefully outclassed talentwise. They strangely shoot themselves in the foot at inopportune times. I think we will play to win and will do so. Not liking it,but I see what I see.

You end up with a megatrade. He can choose not to sign, but he can't sign with anyone else. Unless its the KHL. He was on hhotline at the beginning of the month and said McEichel. I would infer he shares the feeling of others who lump the 2 togethor as 1 and 1a. He also was critical of Strome's skating ability and speed processing the game. Not dismissive. Couldnbe setting a smokescreen as well.

Whatever, we all have different expectations. The thing that scares me about the Yotes is the number of dumb, not youthful, not talentless, but dumb plays they make. Almost like they have been told....ooops not going there.

I'll know, I'll know.... There is an entire section wearing OEL jerseys, from the Olympics. :) He picked it up in his own end and the rest of the Yotes stopped to watch the show. That's dominance. I find it nasty when everyone knows what you are going to do and they are powerless to stop it. A 3 on 1 and they turn it over wo a shot. Wow.

The Az Nucks game is reminiscent of the Sabres Nucks game of recent vintage. And I agree Comrade, their tank strategy seems to be based on stupid. It is working well.
