  1. Twins and Packers have both provided me with some good celebrations.
  2. Yup. Luke Adam looked alright and scored points in his first 20 games as a 1C as well (though I think Kulich is a much better player with a much higher floor) than Adam.
  3. Hopefully, this means Greenway is on the mend.
  4. Unfortunately, it will most likely look like: -- Oh good, the silver lining of the end of the NFL season is that Pegula can focus on the improving the Sabres. 2 hours later. -- Good god! No! Stop trying to improve the Sabres! Please.
  5. I’ll take that under advisement, cowboy. Run it again.
  6. Byram would be in the same boat in Vancouver as here and in Colorado. He's never getting PP1 time and being the guy. At least here in Buffalo he's on the top pair because Dahlin is just good on the right side. For EP: Zucker or Greenway with max 50% retention to help them win now, Cozens and his money to slot into their future core, Rosen for the future, and a lottery-protected 1st. Some sort of 2nd, 3rd, or 4th coming back from Vancouver. For JT: Cozens, and that's it. And re-sign Zucker ASAP so you have an adult in the room when JT pouts in the future. They'll end up trading JT in the future or buying him out, so they would need to minimize any assets given up.
  7. Borgen was one of the logical choices to leave unprotected. (Risto and his price tag was more logical; Joker maybe in hindsight, but he was a shiny new acquisition.) But it's amazing that the current ownership really like to move on from their own serviceable defensive defensemen draftees who could be 2nd pair players (with the right partner) for many years: McNabb, McCabe, Borgen. Edit: Note that this doesn't look good for the Sabres' future of Novikov or Strbak, two players that they really could use in a couple years... hehehe... you know, when they're... competing. in Power's timeline window. I can't even say it.
  8. Negotiating with Fear prolongs detailed and intimated conversations with Suffering.
  9. The AHL only suspended Harpur for 4 games for that. That should've been 1/4 of the season. Harpur wasn't dressed in last night's game, but the Amerks took care of business for and Sandstrom got a pretty comfortable win. If Zucker, Benson, Kozak or Aube-Kubel, Dahlin, and Clifton were on the ice, yes. But probably only that combination. Maybe Byram.
  10. The Oilers broadcast's hit of the game was the dullest collision between two players heading towards their benches. Ekholm kind of chirped at Quinn, probably "hey, look where you're going." kind of thing. Pegula was talking about himself. If only he knew the question.
  11. Remember that one season when the Sabres were 19-5 when he was in the lineup and we had good laughs about it? Sheevyn took it very seriously. 7x4+ seriously.
  12. Hey, Edmonton! You’re up a goal in the third period. You’re not allowed to possess the puck in the offensive zone and cycle it for entire shift. Or at least, that’s what my owner and GM and coach have told me.
  13. ‘Twas a kick, but Kulich was the only one in the right spot in the first place.
  14. His only option would’ve been to channel his inner Hasek and toss the stick away immediately and go diving for the block. But most goalies aren’t that guy.
  15. Reimer couldn’t move his stick because of Perry. But for the sanity of the game I don’t want that to be goalie interference. Perry wasn’t in the crease and Cozens helped push him to the post.
  16. I still like the signing. What I didn’t understand was waiving him and forcing Levi to the NHL to start the season, unless Reiner was just awful in practice. Neither goalie distinguished themselves in the preseason. Reimer has had one game that was a complete dud, but he is well ahead of the others in save percentage. He’s been everything that could be wanted of him. Just doesn’t play enough and has a garbage defense in front of him. The Sabres briefly made it even in shots after the power play. Two breakaways. One post, one easy save.
  17. I put it in another thread, but if they’re eligible, JJP and Quinn should both be looking for offer sheets in the offseason and refusing anything with term past their 1st UFA season with the Sabres. There’s still time for them to get the most out of their careers.
  18. They simply cannot follow up a goal with three shifts of effective defense.
  19. Zucker is the Sabres offense. The Sabres defense is the Oilers offense. Imagine keeping Skinner and still signing Zucker. They’d have… what… 2 more wins?
  20. TNT didn’t even register a shot on the opening 1-on-0. Halfway through the first, the Sabres still don’t have a shot. Cozens immediately kills a couple Sabres possessions/transitions when he touches the puck. Kozak was in the 2nd line, McLeod off of IR and… gets the 4th line. A shot on goal!
  21. There's a game today! Starting the GDT, but remember, if the Sabres lose
