Agree. That was supposed to have been a big motivational speach in 1999. Old guys like us can remember that. In the big picture of life, today is minor compared to that. He's had a great and unprecedented run, and I hope he takes some time off and enjoys his income from his contract, and gets a chance to enjoy his family.

I amvery glad he's gone for Ott and moving him was overdue. By the same token, all the "addition by subtraction" talk of moving him looks like it was just another excuse for the guys still here.

. I couldn't agree more with the bold part.. Also, while that roster was dismantled as you say and I agree with where you place the blame, I don't think you could take that roster and drop it into today's NHL and expect them to duplicate their run. That team was about those rules
