  1. Precisely. Two huge wins there. These next two games are huge. Have to win them. Imagine heading into the home game against Brady and New England at 5-2? Chance for first place in the division and a season sweep of the Pats. Edit: I hope you don't think my post was a knock against the team. They balled out defensively and in the run game. Good team win today and in New England.
  2. Yea, other teams' trash has come up big for us these last two weeks.
  3. I'm well aware what an average NFL QB is. They get more than 10 yards in a half. They get more than 70 yards in a half. They get more than 80 yards in a game. They just don't have games like this.I guess the flip side is they will have more turnovers (although if Tyrod threw as much as they did his turnovers would go way up)
  4. Tyrod Taylor is well below average. I rescind the hug offer. 10 yards in the second half.
  5. Makes no sense. If you're confident that your defense can get a stop and you still need a TD anyways then go for it. Worst-case scenario you give the defense you're confident in great field position.
  6. Agreed. Can we hug now? I might try to get to second base if you don't mind.
  7. Same, because I'm so absolute about QBs and get down easily on plays haha.
  8. On Goff: sounds like the adjustment to the NFL has been rough for him. System at Cal far different from LA. They're bringing him along slowly, but I imagine it's his team the second they feel comfortable with his grasp. I'll give you this: average at best with below-average numbers.
  9. I don't know. So far this season he's well below average. But Nickell Robey-Coleman aint below average. :D
  10. Good teams can still switch QBs. If you want to pursue an expensive veteran like Romo you're getting out of Tyrod's contract free this offseason. If you're looking through the draft you likely keep Tyrod another year and then, if he doesn't become a QB, let him go after next season and pay the partial guarantee for 2018. One of Bridgewater and Bradford will be available. I imagine Romo will definitely be available, but he's probably too far gone for my tastes.
  11. I've been trying to hold out hope on this, but I don't think it's going to happen.
  12. Really appreciate that penalty. This team really needs to be able to throw, though. Running has been nice but it's not enough to consistently win games or separate yourself. Going to kill McCoy relying on him so much.
  13. Certainly. I do like the idea of bringing in Pearson. There was some talk this offseason that LA wasn't opposed to using him in deals, and he'd be an awesome third-line LW once Nylander is ready.
  14. Highly questionable decision there by Tyrod NOT to run on that throw to Woods. WIDE open lane and he could've gotten out of bounds, instead it's a bad throw to a wide open Woods that keeps the clock running. LeSean McCoy is still elite. I'll take the three-point halftime lead but some opportunities left on the table. Tyrod has been good, but you'd like him to be more precise. Bad throw to Woods when he could've ran or at least made a good throw to let Woods run (Woods deserved it for that drop two plays earlier, though). And a bad throw to Clay earlier on what still ended up being a scoring drive (Clay still made the catch inside the 10).
  15. I've moved on from the idea of Girgensons being a top-six winger. And he's been playing exclusively at center this preseason which the team says has helped him. Keep him there. Grant scoring in the preseason is cool, but he's not a major factor in any big decisions (at least I hope not). He's Matt Ellis until proven otherwise.
  16. Fair point. Brocker and Quinn are very good players.
  17. The Rams aren't horrible. They have a horrible QB. But their defense is elite. They've got the best player in the NFL on their team (Aaron Donald - yes, I'm buying the PFF hype on him). It looked like a shank before it got blocked. We should give Robbie Gould a call.
  18. What a play there from Tyrod and from Justin Hunter to keep himself open.
  19. Tyrod just lined up behind the guard in the shotgun leading to a fumbled (obviously) snap. What the ...
  20. Me either. If Murray wants to get Trouba I think they'd need to get very creative. Find a way to unload Bogo and give Winnipeg what they want. 30 Thoughts mentions some teams maybe using Cam Fowler to get Trouba. Three-team deal involving the other Murray over in Anaheim? To Buffalo: Jacob Trouba To Winnipeg: Cam Fowler, Buffalo 2017 first To Anaheim: Evander Kane Then get the best forward you can get for Bogo? Pearson out of LA would be a good move, they do need right-handed dmen. Sign Risto and Trouba. Defense becomes: Kulikov - Risto McCabe - Trouba Gorges - Franson That might be a deal you only make if you're confident Nylander can play in the NHL right now and is good on the left wing (he's been said to be versatile enough to do so).
  21. 8. As for Ristolainen, not hearing much movement there either. The last player I can remember who practised with his team while being unsigned was Stu Barnes, also in Buffalo. He’s their best defenceman, no doubt. It’s weird to see the Sabres, who have been unafraid to pay, in a battle with one of their top homegrown talents. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/30-thoughts-goalie-equipment-changes-tangled-debate/
  22. 4. Who’s in on Jacob Trouba? As best as I can tell, the list includes Arizona, Buffalo, Boston, Colorado, Detroit and the Rangers. This is purely a guess, but I could see Dallas and Tampa lurking. No idea how the Lightning could do it but Stars GM Jim Nill is always looking to upgrade his blue line. I’d thought Montreal but a couple of sources doubted it. Florida was trying before the draft but its moves afterward likely eliminate the possibility. The asks have been high. It wouldn’t surprise me, for example, if the Jets asked Buffalo for Rasmus Ristolainen, a right-hand shot who has played the left side. Apparently, some of those teams have been told they don’t have enough, which has led to them trying to involve third parties. 9. Dan Bylsma put Evander Kane with Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart for Buffalo’s final preseason game. They looked excellent in a 4-2 win over Ottawa. It will be interesting to see if Kane is there for good or if it’s an attempt to raise his value. Obviously, Vancouver was interested. But the offers weren’t anywhere close enough to get a deal done. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/30-thoughts-goalie-equipment-changes-tangled-debate/
  23. Panthers gave 3-4 months as the timeline so 12 weeks is the low end.
  24. Sounds like 12 weeks for Huberdeau
