  1. I've actually only had 8 jobs, although my current job (Software Engineer) has been with 3 different companies including my college internship. I've only had one job I truly hated (Whiting roll-up door), although some of them I'd probably have hated a lot more if I was still doing them now. My current job is the best I've had (luckily) but I really look back on the 2 years I spent at Schoellkopf fondly. Sadly it didn't pay enough to cover my expenses so I had to give it up for full time at Timmy Ho's when I turned 16. I knew some guys who worked there for years though. 1. Took coats for parties at a Knights of Columbus 2. Counselor at Camp Schoellkopf 3. Tim Hortons 4. PC Repair 5. Summer Work crew at Whiting Rollup Door (this job makes me appreciate pretty much every other job I've ever had) 6. Temp Worker/Data Entry 7. Web Development
  2. I'm more annoyed by Artemi Panarin than McDavid. At least McDavid put up his numbers on a bad team as a real rookie. Panarin is what, 24? And played like 7 seasons in the KHL first? Not to mention playing with one of the best offensive players in the league. I don't get how he can qualify against 18-20 year olds. But then I read at one point some guy won it at 30 who had played in Russia for all of his 20s. I think they should limit it to anyone with fewer than 2-3 seasons professionally in any league. AHL, KHL, whatever. Otherwise why bother with a rookie reward at all?
  3. I haven't tried Google News Alerts. Maybe I'll look into that for the Bills news. I used to use Google's RSS reader until they ditched it a few years back. I ended up switching to Feedly instead and that's worked really well since. But if websites stop supporting RSS, I'll be SOL I guess. I don't really get why they would though. Probably must think it results in fewer page views. In my case though it leads to more.
  4. That's a great idea. I don't know why I wasn't doing that already. I used to read the Sabrespace front page daily years ago (that's how I found these forums) but for whatever reason I never added them to my feed. Thanks. Sadly it looks like Two Bills Drive doesn't have an RSS feed though, but at least Sabrespace does.
  5. I follow a few websites (including these forums) for news about the Sabres and Bills. One of my main sources is/was the Buffalo News. I don't necessarily like Bucky or Sully very much, but the coverage is frequent. I primarily consume my news via RSS feeds. 4 days ago updates to the Bills and Sabres feeds stopped. I'm not sure if this is a glitch and they'll start working again, of if they turned them off on purpose. I can't seem to even find links to their RSS feeds on the website anymore. It could also be Feedly's issue. This has happened to me a few times on less popular feeds falling behind. I know the push it towards social media, but there is just too much noise to wade through. Do any of you guys use RSS feeds? If so, what feeds do you follow for Sabres/Bills news? Thanks.
  6. Yeah, that annoyed me because I'm in the same boat. However it wasn't as bad as me claiming to have 1 child in my house because there wasn't an option for 0. Do they assume all of their fans have at least 1 child? Whoever made the options for that survey should be fired.
  7. I've always stayed at Planet Hollywood, because that's where the convention I go to is located. The nice thing is most of the others are walking distance from there. We only got a taxi for a few off strip things, and even then the weather has been nice enough (for me) in January that we've simply walked to some places given enough time. We didn't really do any sightseeing though. Most of the time was at the convention. We caught a few shows before/after the convention, but those were at other casinos, or went to eat at this German Restaurant off the strip. I think in the three years I've gone, I've only ridden in a taxi twice (not counting to/from the airport).
  8. I'm in town to go the game too. I agree, they better win.
  9. I thought I read somewhere (Buffalo News?) a quote from Bylsma saying he was going to ride Ullmark until the kid showed him a reason not to, but I might be miss remembering. I hope he keeps playing and playing well. No offense to Johnson, but he's a career backup. This seems like the time to figure out if Ullmark can cut it as a starter.
  10. I'm driving up tomorrow for the Vancouver game, but my buddy texted me last night trying to convince me to take today off too and drive up for this game. It's tempting, but I couldn't swing it.
  11. Awesome. Thanks Peppy! Definitely like the choice.
  12. Looks like Ennis made number 4 and Johnson number 1 on SportsCenter top 10 yesterday: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3b9xw3_sportscenter-top-10-plays-of-the-night-tuesday-october-27-2015-hd_sport
  13. I ended up driving up to Philly for the game. It was a lot of fun. The Fliers fan next to us kept muttering "They are 2-6, how are you losing?" and I really wanted to be like, "Our record doesn't really reflect our talent". It seems like they were finally able to finish. It was devastating when they gave up the late goal in the 3rd, but it made the OT goal that much sweeter. The place erupted, and all the energy came back and the Fliers seemed to feed on that to start OT. Prior to that they were all deflated. Some guy near me kept trying to start cheers of "Wake up Fliers" for most of the game. Nothing is better than hearing the Philly fans boo. And up by me there were booing a lot.. I didn't realize just how good that Johnson save was until watching the replays this morning.
  14. Man what a game. I don't normally bother posting much here, but I'm still excited from that game yesterday. I can't remember the last time I was this excited. Our offense was finally humming, especially on PP. Our defense/PK still needs some help, but overall a much better effort in that game than the previous two. And that Eichel goal...I can't stop rewatching it. I meant to record sportscenter last night. Only number 3, I guess that's still pretty good for hockey. I think it's too early to decide on Eichel, but I'd be comfortable with Girgs being our Captain next year. I'm not really a fan of the trend of making your best scorer your Captain personally. I thing Girgs is the perfect fit for Captain. Toss Eichel an A eventually maybe, but best to just let him focus on his game than leading the team. I wouldn't mind seeing Gionta turn the team over to Girgensons this year. I figure he'll be our captain until he retires though.
  15. If you mean for the hockey package the Home feed is on channel 2, which on FIOS the HD channel I think is 1467.
  16. I did a "Real Escape" game while visiting San Francisco and it was a lot of fun. We had to run around Japantown to find clues and solve puzzles to escape before we died. We didn't make it. Still fun though.
  17. Thanks! You should find some images of the Sabres playing golf for May. :)
  18. He's the caps color commentator and a former player. He's the one who called Weber cheap. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Laughlin
  19. Craig Laughlin is an idiot. I'm sad to think he's an alumni of my college and that they retired his number. He constantly says stupid things during the Caps broadcasts.
