Leo has been an enigma, similar to Myers, making some really nice defensive plays and some horrendous ones, often failing to clear the zone

In a year or two his metabolism will drop and he will gain weight. He is 227 now, so if he can get that up to 240-245 i think he will be happy. Pronger is 6'6 220 and Chara is 6'9 257 for comparison

I'm not sure there is a gm i would rather, so i don't have a problem with the extension. All the good gms are looked into their teams and a bad gm can cause a lot of long termproblems (Toronto)

I'm not sure a casual fan buys a sports team and decides to lose millions of dollars a year if they are casual. Also he was nearly brought to tears by an old Sabre - again not something a casual fan does That is actually a really interesting idea. It would make sense and is a lot more interesting than the boring standard Ruff hates young people and tries to ruin their lives because he is a bad coach

Young players turn to crap on any team more often than not - it is how the game works. Ruff really hasn't ruined any young players. Adam is the closest argument anyone could make and as he hasn't bounced backin the AHL I struggle to see how 3 months with a man could ruin the game this guy has been playing for almost 20 years. I just don't buy that someone can have such a big effect on a guy

Not necessarily spinning it on purpose. But yes. Firstly, there is no reason not to put the quote in the article. Secondly, 'laughing at' is a powerful phrase, I would like to see what they actually said - did they say they have meetings and all go round discussing and laughing at the next DR/LR screw up, or did they say they found it a perplexing decision and not one they would have made. Thirdly, I would like to know who these people were - not names, but vague positions - giving a quote gives an author - high ranking individuals suddenly becomes a western conference GM said this, a former coach who often played buffalo said.. etc. In my mind the devil is in the details, quotes give the details - there is a huge difference between someone say they disagreed with the decision and saying they actually considered someone laughable for the decision. Fourthly, the quote would provide a more interesting and subtle approach that might lead to a more informed article with something relevant to say Fifthly, it would show us how wide spread his sources are (i suspect they are all quite similar)

He is very proud. He hated how his stock dropped at the draft and wants to prove the world wrong/the sabres right. This can be a good or a bad thing, depending on the guy really. But what it does mean is benching him will make him pissed - if he thinks it is unfair it might make him angry and unresponsive, if he thinks it is because they think he isn't showing enough, it will make him dangerous on the ice.
