Semin is looking for a 1y deal. Maybe a Hodgson kind of deal could be an option. 1y 1mio for Semin. If it pays off well great... if not... well...

Even if he becomes a superstar personally I don't care. McNabb could play 82 games 25+ minutes a night for Buffalo or McNabb could play 82 games 25+ minutes a night for Carolina at the end of the year it would still be 2 totally different players. Different teams, different systems, different approaches of the game. Seguin could still be in Boston and might would have averaged 50 points per season and would "still just be a good" player

I am still 100% fine with that McNabb Deal. People need to stop thinking... man that player is going nuts now for this team he would have done the same here. Deslauriers has been great last year and Fasching improved a lot as well and hasn't even seen NHL Ice Time yet. So we don't know what they will turn into. Regier's days are over... There is a trade you like pull the trigger stop hesitating.

Still I don't wanna look around the league in a few years and think ... look zadorov is awesome, reinhart is awesome. we had them ... yeah we got other awesome players in return but I don't only look at skill. playing style is important for me as well and especially zadorov can be that guy down the road (like Hedman for example) who takes things into his own hands when its getting serious.

I wouldn't even trade Zadorov for ROR. I don't think this team needs ROR. If the trade happens and ROR turns out to be awesome I am willing to change my mind but I don't get it. They play bad aquire all those draft picks and great players and then we we trade them for other players. What about developing those players. I am dreaming of players that turn out to be awesome who were drafted by Buffalo. But now we are talking about trading Zadorov or Reinhart. And who says that Girgensons can not turn out to be a player like ROR. Maybe he doesnt put up as many points as ROR but it if Girgensons turns out to be Dustin Brown like player I AM TOTALLY FINE with that.

I wanna see hwo we develop the kids. We are suffering for 2 years to get these amazing players. I wanna see them play. We didnt suck in order to get great players as trade-bait. Who says that Reinhart isn't putting up numbers like Malkin in a few years. We haven't even seen many of those guys getting a shot in the NHL and we are already trading them in our minds for proven players. Develop proven players yourself... much cheaper...
