How can you say Risto looked lost defensively? He was a +1!

It's easy to fall in love with a guy like Deslauriers when you're watching two of the worst teams ever assembled (I loved him during the tank years too, and overrated his actual hockey ability). But when put on a team with real talent and playoff aspirations, I think its blatantly obvious the guy doesn't belong.

I'm more mad about the Ravens game than the Jets game, to be honest. Although if we win one of those, Roman might not be fired, and we may not have gone on this four game run.

I don't agree with this. I can always find room for a 25 point player (if that's what Zemgus maxes out as) who plays well defensively and can skate. More to the point, as long as Deslauriers and Grant are skating regular shifts, Zemgus is not expendable. I see no reason to make this a Larsson OR Girgensons scenario.

I disagree. One of Tyrod's best attributes last year was how he'd move around a lot but would still keep his eyes up looking for a pass. Separately, I continue to be amazed (in a bad way) with how bad the Colts' supporting cast is around Luck. Grigson and Pagano have to be fired.

We had a huge offseason discussion on this. If a team acquires a player with a NMC that hasn't kicked in yet, the team is not required to honor the NMC.

Murray had the option not to honor it, and last I knew, we don't know whether he exercised that option.

After this western swing I want to see Nelson down in Rochester getting big minutes to help prepare him to fill in when Bogosian gets hurt...because Franson is NOT a viable option in the top-4.

As someone who was very critical of McCabe last year, I have been very pleased with his start to the season.

I admit, I'm greatly enjoying seeing McDavid lose his composure.

I believe so :p More importantly, he's a +1. I expect Pi to show up shortly and sing his praises for said plus.

This game is awesome.

I don't see Tyrod getting any better, I see an offense that's being run to maximize his strengths rather than try to force him to do what he's not good at.

Not complaining, of course, but I can't believe Edmonton didn't score there.
