  1. That's not even totally accurate! They signed Ivory for $3 million guaranteed to replace Tolbert, while Murphy was just chilling on the roster for league minimum money.
  2. Roethlisberger threw his 4th pick, what, 4 microseconds after you posted this? ?
  3. And it's not just the QBs. It's the coordinators, as I mentioned before. Trading a pick for Benjamin. Trading up for Zay Jones. Jordan Matthews. Vlad Ducasse. The list goes on. Have any of their moves on offense resulted in even a positional upgrade? I'm thinking no.
  4. If you're not going to let me snark on last year being lucky, can you at least let me snark about culture? And McDermott's "command" of the room? Process? And so on? I just spent 3 hours on this game, you have to let me have something!
  5. If I weren't so lazy, I'd scroll back earlier in the thread and see how many were in denial that last year was luck, that making the playoffs meant they were good, etc.
  6. Yup. For about the same money, we signed McCarron and moved him for a 5th. I'm going to keep screaming from the mountaintop that McBeane hasn't shown to have a single shred of offensive acumen.
  7. Could probably say the same about Big Ben. Of course, I'm sure somewhere there are people shouting to the clouds that turnovers don't matter as long as you can get passing yardage.
  8. I can proudly say I never trusted it in the first place. I was ahead of the curve, baby!
  9. This is true. It's also true that until this game hit pure garbage time, Tyrod had more yards rushing than our entire offense had produced. Really though, I think there's a lot of talking past one another here on Tyrod. Whether anyone thinks it was smart/dumb to move on from him without an obviously better solution in the fold, I think we can all unify around the idea that emerging from the offseason with Nathan Peterman at the top of the depth chart was a clear organizational failure.
  10. ...did we seriously just kick a FG?
  11. As a starter, Nathan Peterman is now 16/42 for 147 yards with 1 TD and 7 INTs. That's 38% completion percentage for 3.5 yards per attempt. He's obviously terrible. But... Bills offensive DVOA the last 3 seasons: 9th, 10th, 26th. The bigger problem on offense is McDermott. He hired Rick Dennison, who had no track record of success, and was obviously a horrible fit for Tyrod last year. Then he followed it up with Daboll, who once again, has zero track record of NFL success. Along the way, some combination of he and Beane decided to not even put a half-hearted effort into upgrading the team's offensive personnel. I honestly don't know what the solution is this season, and I legitimately don't want to see Allen get wrecked...but I have no idea how he can look any player in the eye if he keeps rolling with Peterman. It simply isn't an option. Yes, Peterman objectively won the QB competition in the offseason, but it's painfully obvious he isn't an NFL starter...and he may not even be an NFL backup. It's a bad spot to be in, and I think we can agree on that, whether we think keeping Tyrod was an answer or not.
  12. For the Bills, maybe. But as a fan of football, this game has 1 more NFL team than any of those ones did.
  13. It's not worse than some of those Buffalo-Cleveland games. Sure we look as bad as possible, but at least one of the two teams looks like they belong in the NFL.
  14. Still a better idea than going the entire offseason without even trying to upgrade one of the worst offenses in the league.
  15. Suspended for being a bad person. Beat me by that much.
  16. Dear McBeane: please don't ignore the offense again next offseason. Thanks.
  17. Unfortunately, the offense looks...exactly as I expected it too. The defense is disappointing so far though.
  18. Pretty sure RG3 is their #2. Not sure that changes anything for you ?
  19. So, what project are you procrastinating that makes you think engaging with Pi on Matthews is a good idea? ?
  20. Yea, I definitely think he settles in higher than Tavares. Wouldn't surprise me if he hits McDavid's number, but I wouldn't bet it. 100% Europe.
  21. These things don't necessarily have to both be true, though. One can seek more money without that meaning they value it above all else. Anyway, I think we're on the same page in that we disagree with Pi.
  22. Nor should they. I think I like Mittelstadt more than you in general, but I definitely don't think he's ready for 2C duties out of the gate as a rookie.
  23. You mean when he starts, right? Because barring an injury away from the field, he's starting.
