GDT NY Rangers vs Buffalo Sabres at KBC 7pm ET MSG TV and WGR 550 AM

For example, should Boston fans be worried too? Because the ES shot attempts got worse for them earlier than they did for us against NYR: -

Valid, but hand-wringing about actual numbers (I checked - shot attempts stayed even into the third, which is typical and more important than the team up by two goals conceding more shots as the 3rd goes on) is a bit misleading this early on. -
He's sitting out right now, he doesn't have a contract

Yes it always trips me up, I start second-guessing what I saw with my eyes

Gritty win. Ivory has more value than the stat sheet indicates IMO. That was actually a good signing.

Shocked!

I'd honestly be shocked if we got 2 first downs, much less win this game

That was on Holmes - nice WRs McBeane

Spero Dedes says "and-complete" like it's one word and it fools me five times per game

I feel like I'm still mad at Hughes even with the rule thing.

Taron Johnson has looked good this year.

Has anyone score-adjusted the shot attempts, and then let the sample size rise to about 20 games? If not, stop wringin' yo hands and enjoy the win. -

Jack's early struggles aside, I agree with the above posts about his leadership at the end. He played a full shift, got about 30 seconds of rest, and played the last ~1:10, with the gutsy block and foot-race to the empty net. -
I mean, it beats having Nate Peterman as backup and "mentor."

Yeah, they played reasonable last night and the lines make sense, almost all of them seem like what you'd want to do, so no reason to tweak them much at all for now. There's no glaring problem like their almost always is for any given coach/fan base -

They didn't start slow, though, right? I really thought they've been strong to start both games, if starting strong means lots of offensive zone possession time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please let this Jack-can-win-faceoffs-now thing continue. -
I don't recall knowing how many Canucks games @dudacek watches, but Pettersson is going to be a lot more entertaining than what he's seen the last few years.

It's so, like, useful, to have Skinner as the driver of his own line. It helps this team in two different ways. -

Well let's parse this out. How did they start slow? They dominated the puck until that power play, like I said. Second of all, how can you let two games of sample size in a season of eighty two let you "start souring" or drawing any meaningful conclusions of things that will evolve over the course of a decade? If you're starting to sour now, and we have a bad season, you'll be beyond done by game 30, no? What will you do the rest of Jack's career, then? -
Different strokes for different folks.

I think they're outstanding.

Mitts wouldn't have flubbed that puck if he had just gone to a practice a week ago.

You can set your watch by how the games between Buffalo and the Rangers are played. Even though that doesn't make sense. Recall Eich's first home game after his first high ankle sprain, or the 15-16 trip to MSG in March that saw the Sabres win 5-4. They're wide open transition affairs, lots of chances for and against, that don't tend to leak into the following game. -

They controlled the game until the Rangers' first power play flipped the ice, and even then finished the first period with better even strength numbers. "Souring on Eichel as the captain" He will be captain for 80 more games this season, and that's just his first season as captain. We are 2% into it. If he has a 1000 game career, we are less than a third of a percent into his captainhood. Dude.
