Indeed. Since the focus was on the defencive side of the game all season it has taken half of it for the team to get to where both aspects are working.
The biggest difference now is that 6K has become the stud #1 they desparately needed. The goalie coach needs a big fat bonus and a raise. Sure, 6K has matured, but he has worked hard and the coach is fantastic. Can't remember that dudes name right now.
I will say this - the Sabes will make the playoff, unless the wheels completely fall off.

I really like my new department at my permanent part-time job. It's challenging and intersting work - as interesting as income tax can be.
In 20+ years I have not had a regular paycheque every 2 weeks, so that continues to be nice. My heart breaks when I read posts of layoffs and such. I have been there too.
It's payday of a 3 pay month, which is always nice - I know that it all evens out in the end.
I know @Taro T is on his annual Lent fast. Ramadan will start in 10 days. I am not doing a full fast again this year, but it's always fantastic.
All in all a pretty fantastic Friday. A fantastic start to a fantastic, I hope, month.
I still say the Sabres make the playoff.

You know what, I'll say it, the Sabres are playing good hockey the last 10 games or so.
They played a playoff type game against the Panthers and deserved a better fate. They came back to tie and then win against the Lightening.
They could easily be on a 5 gamer right now.
It's not likely to be enough, but I will continue to hope for the playoff until there is no hope left.
6K is legit. The guys trust him back there. They are playing well in front of him. That is the biggest difference.

No. That's not it.
I think he and his family are good owners. He hit sooner with the Bills. I do think that he would prefer a Super Bowl win since it's a bigger deal nationally, but I am only guessing.
I think he was sold a bill of goods on the whole *tank* idea. That has set the franchise back to the stone age. I think he trusts KA to finally get it right and it has taken and will continue to take time.
I have never been critical of the ownership of the Pegula's. They have done much more good by both teams. Of course, your milage may vary on that.

6K and Levi will become this era's Edwards and Sauve combo. The Sabres needed a few more pieces in 1980 and they would have had their best chance at the cup.

There is no cap issue now and in the immediate future.
6K will sign a 5 year $25M contract. That is 1B money, I think, which is what he has earned at this point.
Give him a bonus of a pizza and wing party at the establishment of his choice.

Crosby has started the inevitable decline, but if my team just makes the playoff I would want him leading it still.
Nathan MacKinnon is the best player in the NHL right now.
I humbly suggest you edit his name in the poll ... he is a Mac not a Mc. Thems fighing words for some, eh.

The poll should be public so we know who to shame for picking that prima-donna Auston - you might as well adjust his name in the poll while you are at it (insert winkie thingie here) ... we all know that @Thorny has a man-crush on dear ol' Auston.

This is a big test. Earlier in the season the Sabres played really well against better teams and had some success. This late in the season they are not likely to encounter a slack Canes side. The Canes played last night so that could be an advantage for the Sabres.
