There’s even more money to be made by denying it.

Not to mention the fact that the 0.04% (412PPM - parts per million - is a better measure) is a very recent development.  Over the course of about 4 billion years the CO2 levelled off at a defining point when it settled at about 280PPM - when life started.  It was at that level or thereabouts until the start of the Industrial Age.  In 2000 it was about 370PPM.  There is something going on here that is outside of the normal and natural ebs and flows.

Your offer is about equal to what the Sens offered Arizona for Chychrun last year at the deadline which was a conditional 1st, conditional second and a second.  In addition to that, Chychrun a.) is in his prime, and b.) had term on the contract.  Tanev - neither.
First of all, Calgary is climbing in the standings, and at this time, not a seller. Second, Tanev is a nice idea in free agency this summer, where you don’t need to trade assets, just overpay. Third, I think the assumption in OPs thread is the Sabres are selling assets, not buying rentals to help them make the playoffs. Playoffs?

    Greenway and skinner

Respectfully, Greenway was targeted by Adams, so I don't think that they will trade him so soon.  Skinner's contact is fine (I still may be the only one saying this) and he is one of the few pure goal scorers the Sabres have.  I don't think he will be traded and I would be upset if he was.

Vancouver Island. Nanaimo, -15 with about 1 inch of snow. Not complaining at least theres no shovelling. Last March 12th I was in Buffalo for the Bruins game. Damn that wind coming off the lake cut to the bone.

The tropical island of Vancouver is not so tropical these last few years.  I have friends out there that grew tropical plants outside year round some years ago.  Not so much now.

When you look at TSN's scouting report about Skinner, you understand a bit more about his game:

Assets: His skating sets him apart from the pack, thanks to great lower-body strength, quickness and balance. Is also a natural scorer who has the shot, smarts, focus and instincts to produce quality numbers.

Liabilities: CONCUSSIONS have been an issue for him during his NHL career, and he generally lacks upper body strength. As a result, he is not always willing (or able) to win puck battles in the trenches regularly.

    Career Potential: Inconsistent sharpshooting winger.

Add on to that list that he's a rat, that he annoys people, including refs, and gets under the skin of opponents (which may cause trouble with more concussions), he has improved on his passing/playmaking capabilities (had a career high of 47 assists last year, making his line even more of a threat), he meshes very well with Tuch and Thompson, with whom he seems to be peaking career-wise, and he has never been on a playoff team. He's a -129 career-wise, reflecting his defensive hesitency. He's also funny as hell, in a concussion-related way.

I like Skinner, despite his flaws. He's just about the best scorer on the Sabres and a good example to young'uns about how to stay in the league and still be relevant at age 31.

I just worry about his concussions.

To the bold .. dudes obviously have not seen Skinsie shirtless .. I have .. (insert blushing thingie here)

How could anyone in their right mind NOT give this team an F? This season has been a monumental catastrophe and if the organization had any standards whatsoever the entire coaching staff would've already been sacked.

    ???

I would raise an eyebrow if anything other than an F was given.  This team has thoroughly failed relative to expectations.

In the  video he explains that F is for 'fine'.  That's the eyebrow raising thing.

  7. Yet another Nor'Easter here today.  Thanks Baastan and NYC.

We are right on the Atlantic (literally) and right here it is hovering right around freezing.  Mixed precipiation now and ice pellets soon.  Switching over to heavy rain as temp rises a bit.  The wind is going to be the biggest issue - gusts to 100km (65mph).
