Idk, I feel like going with mediocre options instead of the best ones is more akin to settling for someone, instead of making that move for someone who better suits you and your future.

Seems to me that a lot of people are placing money over health. Health is more valuable than any amount of money. If an MLB team of 25-30 players has 8-14 positives after, what only 3 days of baseball? How is having multiple classrooms of similar numbers of students in one building going to end up with better results?

I feel like I’ve had to repeat this a dozen times.

What I read somewhere is: ”According to the Arizona Republic, “rumblings of a divide” between Chayka and the front office began earlier this week after he reportedly wasn’t invited to a dinner meeting with team owner Alex Meruelo and his son, team president and CEO Xavier Gutierrez and winger Taylor Hall. Chayka, per the report, learned of the meeting the next day — which was reportedly used to extend a contract offer to Hall, whose deal will expire at the end of the season.”

I disagree. This is getting a guy bunting to get a guy from first to second, instead of getting a guy who can swing for a double or triple. Think small, stay small. Think big, get big. The team already ran the course of getting “reclamation project/low value high ceiling” guys in the Vesey and Shearys of the NHL world. It’s time to bring in a notable player or 3 who will help the team turn the corner instead of treading the same water for another season.

So, do I understand this correctly? The entire Jays team can go play games in Florida, then fly to Buffalo and play games there without a 14-day quarantine? But if I fly there today and come back tomorrow, I’d have to quarantine?

If they paid to use the Wu-Tang “W” for just this one season, they’d make tons of CREAM.

The Kraken have become only the 4th NHL team with a name that doesn’t end in “s.” Without looking, name the other 3.

SabreSpace Trade Proposal: Cozens and 8th for Cirelli
Andrew Amerk replied to sweetlou's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe we can get Cirelli for $1. I have heard that 30-50 goal scorers are on sale for that price once in awhile, and he’s not a 30 goal scorer. -
Did the AHL fold? Can’t believe CNN and Fox News both missed this.

Which leads to another question: is that something JBOTT was working towards/waiting for?

Pegula Sports Entertainment, behind the scenes

I bought some Exxon last week. They are still very low right now. -
Thank you for saying it better than I did ?

This is just bad drafting, or a poor attempt at a slingshot maneuver.

Are we in that coven of teams with the most space now? I thought we were somewhere like 5th for most salary last season - that’s quite a giant swing if we are among those with the most space suddenly.

SabreSpace Trade Proposal: Cozens and 8th for Cirelli
Andrew Amerk replied to sweetlou's topic in The Aud Club
TBL has something like 1.2 in space right now, and Cirelli is $728,000 currently. Moving him out puts them at 2 million in cap space. Taking on Ristos 5.4 only further compounds the already existing problem in an even swap for the two. -
Without looking, I’m guessing the teams with the most cap space are the NJ’s and Detroit’s and Ottawa’s of the league. Im not sure how they’re going to convince players with NTC’s to leave a Cup contender for a current bottom feeder. It will be interesting to watch.

SabreSpace Trade Proposal: Cozens and 8th for Cirelli
Andrew Amerk replied to sweetlou's topic in The Aud Club
Again, TBL is in the position to lose a Cirelli because they need to move salary OUT. They would not be in a position to take IN a contract like Ristos - or even Montours. -
Various experts saying Cozens is the top player not playing in the NHL right now are credible reasons why he should be in the NHL next year - and he’s not eligible for AHL. In the same vein, he shouldn’t be counted on to be our 2C next season either. Since we live in an analytics world now, it’s the projected translation of how many points he would score in the NHL based on his scoring in his current league.

Nah. Nothing a good ol’ Lindy stick to the noggin can’t fix.
