I remember sitting at home with my brother, playing NHL on our playstation. Thought we'd check out the news a bit and saw the second plane go in live. Seemed unreal , still gets my blood boiling when I see the images again.

UPDATE: Sam Reinhart signs 2-year extension -- $3.65MM per year
Huckleberry replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
His numbers put him in the 6 mill range so yeah. -
Detroit, or personal life, anything else doesn't make sense.
-
Was my first thought to, something in his personal life must have happened to make this kind of a decision.
-
Not a wildcard for me, he had some setbacks with injuries, I expect him to light up the AHL until December and be our first call up.
-
If Tatar can rebound from Vegas its a good deal for Montreal. for a new team in the league, that needs to fill up the prospect ranks. McPhee has been spending a lot of draft picks.

Last years the bills kept this place cheerful , lets hope the sabres can do that for us this year.
-
Nice vid though, hope he lives up to it ?

Honoring servicemembers at sporting events
Huckleberry replied to Hank's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
Well most international football games or most sports for that matter play the national anthems of both sides. But always did find it weird to be doing it in a normal competition, Also when me and friend were seeing that in some American schools they salute the flag each morning before classes start. We both had only one thing on our mind, looks a bit like Hitler Jugend. Might be wrong, but I also believe that its become so commercial at these events, that it really isn't any more about honouring the people that served in the military. -
Fair enough, but it feels right at the moment, more than with murray. And I liked the GMTM hire.

Don't think the sabres were that much at risk of being moved, but would be budget team still. Bills they kept in town for sure, Toronto Bills , how many would stop supporting that ? But I'll give them a B for the bills, but the sabres a C only, It took them 7 years to get the right gm in place. Might as well not have fired Darcy.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
Huckleberry replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
Because they have to cater to the left, and that always sucks. On a side note, Aretha Franklin's funeral: I mean how much of a public figure she was, If I'm part of her family, I would be disgusted on how the funeral turned so political. I mean they decided she should be celebrated as an American icon but I think it got out of their hands to much. Instead of celebrating a great woman in the music industry, the aftermath is just so disgusting, and the press has a hand in it to. I mean very political figure in the back was portrayed as horny old men when Ariana grande was singing. And you got people using the stage to pull out their political agenda. proud they should be the press and everyone else. -
Boston's first line is what drives the rest of the team, that line is the best in hockey. I really don't think I can find any top line in hockey where all 3 players are so good none drag another down. Most top lines have a 1-2 punch, this line can play 30 minutes a night and the rest can clean up the scraps. Its their D though, I expected them to fall down last year, I mean Chara can't keep going right ? But yeah I'd like McAvoy.

Strome and Galchenyuk have critical seasons this year, hope our 3rd line performs as well as theirs this year. Always like Dvorak, but if both Strome and Galchenyuk he'll have to become 2C, or they have to thin out their top line by playing Keller there.

I know our prospect pool is rated high because of Dhalin and Mittelstadt mostly. But most rankings I see, they mention Samuelsson. Was he that great of a pick up for us ?
-
I wonder, if they only screwed up with Schmidt. Maybe they should test the rest of the team also.
-
Casey Mittelstadt and Rasmus Dahlin nickname?
Huckleberry replied to Onceagain's topic in The Aud Club
Yeah its one of the things I don't like at hockey interview, how players call their teammates. -
Axl wasn't bad either when I saw him live with AC/DC.
-
bit morbid but funny
-
They actually need him, but he won't be fully 100 % after 5 months , so what is the point in having him suck and maybe put himself in danger of more injuries.
-
Yeah but all the articles I read stated it was better to take a full year off to recover proper.
-
I think Kessler is out all year no ?
-
Don't see many other options, Allen might be the future but not ready, and McCarron didn't look better than Petermann.
-
Don't know, they aren't even sure he would resign with them, seems a steep price to pay for the panthers.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Huckleberry replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
First of all I'm not upset, the overal tone of the movie just dissappointed me, and there are more black superheroes and superhero movies than Black panther. And its not just me saying this, I have black friends and colleagues over here saying it themselves. This movie worked more divisive than anything else. Blade, Hancock ( bit of a stretch maybe), Spawn. Those were some good black superhero movies to me.
