Florida is on a 3 game losing streak and has only won 2 in their last 10. Season of Ruin for Drouin!

I hope they win at least one series because those lines are going to be fun to watch.

I think DR has shown that he is capable of getting good value, so I don't have a problem with him selling off assets at the deadline. The offseason will be when bigger name players are traded anyways (Pominville, Miller, Vanek).

Games 3 - 4 we gave the Hurricants their first two wins of the season (making both teams 2-2) Game 5 we gave the Crapitals their first win of the season. Game 6 we lost to the Leaves who had lost 3 of their last 4 and 2 in a row. Game 9 we lost to the Panthers who had lost 5 of their last 6. From February 1st to February 16 the Sens played 8 games, and won only 2: against the Sabres (Games 10 and 14 for the Sabres). 2 game losing streaks preceded both of those games for the Sens. Game 17 we lost to the Jests who lost 4 of their last 5 and 3 in a row. This one got Lindy fired. *Game 19 we lost to a not particularly struggling at the time Islanders team who lost their next 3 in a row (don't really think this one counts). Game 23 we lost to the Rangers who had lost 4 of their last 5. Game 25 we lost to the Devils who were on a 6 game losing streak and lost 8 of their last 9 (but we caused loss #4 in that particular losing streak- yay!) Game 26 we lost to the Flyers who were on a 3 game losing streak. This game was 1 of 2 wins the flyers had in their last 9. **Game 27 we "were ripe to be beaten" but weren't :P suck it, Torts. Game 28 we lost to the Sens who lost their last 2 and 6 of their last 7. Game 29 we lost to the Craps who lost 4 of their last 5. Game 33 we lost to the Lightning who were on a 3 game losing streak. That was sickening. 13 or 14 games, depending on whether or not you count both games 3 and 4 (I probably would because they lost 2 of their next 3).

Tonight sealed it for me. This team will not make the playoffs. No killer instinct whatsoever. For the eightieth time this season we were up against a team in a rut, and we came out flat and gave them the game. Sell hard at the deadline and give some youngins their shot for the rest of the season. Bring back Grigo and play him with some real damn wingers.

The Telltale adventure game is pretty damn good, though. As disgusted as we've seen him? Oh god he didn't change his facial expression did he? The team is just timid on the PP. Every time a skater gets the puck, his head goes right up to find somebody to pass to, not to find the net. Most of the time they'll even have their backs turned to the net. The other teams' PKs don't have to worry about our PP attacking the goal, so they can just pressure us until we cough it up. Sabres looked pathetic. No urgency. And RR putting both the third and fourth lines out there for extended periods of time with less than 3 minutes left in the game was brutal. That's it for the Sabres this season. Absolutely must sell at the deadline now. They couldn't afford to lose more than 1 point on this Florida road trip, and they just lost 2. At least I scored a hatter tonight.

I feel for Drew, and I've had high hopes for him ever since his 30 goal season (my first season of watching hockey with an obsession), but it's definitely time for a change for him. I'd think about hanging on to him and seeing who we hire if/when RR gets canned. Our next guy might be able to motivate drew and put him into the position to succeed (ie not being the biggest man on his line and actually playing with a center who dishes the puck and creates space). Unfortunately we're not really in the position to make him useful any time in the future because we already have too many complimentary pieces. That's why I think he'll ultimately be traded. Drew Stafford = Brad Boyes What are you, new here? The team sucks and Darcy is to blame. So he'll get blamed. A lot. For everything. And mentioning Hitler is less disruptive than mentioning politics. I'm at the point now where I don't think the Sabres can get anything good for him anyways, so we might as well wait until his next hot streak and then trade him. We know it'll eventually come.
