  1. Right, nobody is arguing against new threads. You could make the argument that it's easier for new posters to jump in if the threads are named better, too.
  2. I think he's super disappointed about not being able to play and is overreacting to fans trashing him on the internet. He sounds more like a desperate kid than a 1%er lording it over the little guy.
  3. Yes. On TV it's really hard to isolate one player on a shift. There's not a lot of time on the TV where you can see every player on the ice. Especially on the transition/in the neutral zone.
  4. Ahahaha I meant that's not the joke I was expecting when I mentioned "the D." Woodsie's head is above the water level of the gutter, it seems.
  5. This is... not where I thought this thread was going.
  6. At least that's a creative place to put the D.
  7. It's cute that you think you're creating good discussion. What I've seen is quality posters giving you way more patience than you deserve. By the way, you did the pointing out others' flawed posting thing again.
  8. It would always crack me up to read the directv descriptions of the games. They have a habit of describing teams by their best player (Price and the Habs take on Getzlaf and the Ducks). I never got used to seeing "Tyler Ennis and the Sabres."
  9. You've sat at ice level and in the 300s before, right? It's amazing what you see from one perspective that you never would from the other.I think seeing from up top could really help Zemgus dial into where his teammates are during zone clears/entries. If it really is Hot Daniel's system that he's not grasping, that is.
  10. I'm not talking about this thread, I'm talking about you. You've been insufferable this season. Your posting lapses into a familiar pattern. 1) Suggest something wholly negative. (other posters call you out) 2) Defend yourself by mentioning the flawed reasoning that "a lot(90%)" of other posters use/would be using. 3) Repeat. I like having alternate viewpoints. PA and Ghost are two of my favorite posters. I like alternative viewpoints to come from logical thought, not pure emotion. You're not even necessarily wrong most of the time, but you post as if you've seen the next 3 years in the flames and know exactly what's going to happen. And it's negative.
  11. The pleasures of winner take all politics and 2 dominating parties.
  12. Whereas Karbacek and Cornell are hardly mentioned at all. Why are you always bringing up flawed thinking of other posters to justify your own flawed posting? Why don't you think about what you type before you post it?
  13. I think it's still hockey, because kicking the puck is a tough skill to learn. But I agree that it should only be used to kick the puck to your stick, or a teammate. Don't want goalie to be an even more dangerous position.
  14. You're right that hockey is mostly instinct, so if your instincts are telling you to do the wrong thing (as Zemgus's seem to be) then you'll have to approach the game differently. I fully believe that Zemgus will figure it out from behind the bench, on the ice, or in the press box because he's a good hockey player. But to say that giving a player a seat in the press box is totally useless is strange to me. It's one of the tools in the coach's toolbox.
  15. It's a fresh perspective. You're talking about these hockey players like they're not humans. I know, right? Few players are more exciting to watch. I forget exactly who it was, but I remember a player being interviewed after sitting for a game, and him commenting that watching from up top gave him new respect for the way Ennis and Gerbe never stop moving their feet.
  16. Ennis was pretty great last year, considering his supporting cast.
  17. It's not. Sometimes it's getting an eye on the entire play at once that helps, sometimes it's feeling the pressure of losing ice time.
  18. Uhhh... it being a late first rounder absolutely matters. You're saying the tipping point of the trade for you was a ~50% chance to get a player that will play in the NHL. That's ridiculous.
  19. I know this is hypothetical, but Subban is not the best D-man in the league. Best offensive D-man, sure. But when it comes to winning battles below the circles in his own zone, PK is nowhere near the best.
  20. Ennis's reach is really impressive despite his size. The crazy part of that goal was the power he was able to generate on the shot from that angle. It was some crappy goaltending, but I can't blame Mason for not expecting it. Or, y'know, new titles that don't suck.
  21. He's drowning in a pile of cocaine as we speak.
  22. I think I'd probably rather have Thad Lewis as back-up instead of EJ.
  23. Simmonds was going all out and Eichel looked like he was going for a leisurely skate.
  24. Oh man. Great 3 on 3 there. Johnson stole us one tonight.
  25. Must be why we didn't even try.
