  1. Kane has been working extremely hard. In the video from September, he already looked good. I’d expect him to be capable of 90 points if playing on a line with good players
  2. Respectfully, Kane was innocent. He has been with the same woman since 2012. They have a 2 year old son. I believe engaged too. it’s a shame that false allegations can follow someone the rest of their life and they are condemned by public opinion Also of note: Kevyn Adams knows Kane well…having been his roomate when he entered the league. They have remained friends. Don Granato was an asst coach in Chicago and Kane really likes him
  3. Good idea also! Maybe in 2-3 years when we are running full steam ahead, we can make a play for #88
  4. it would have to be overpayment for the Hawks to even consider moving him. The PR backlash would be highly negative.
  5. For anyone complaining about this.....seriously? Are you crazy? We just acquired a 24 year old player who is capable of winning the Selke trophy. He led the entire NHL in takeaways over the last 2 seasons & already has a Lady Byng. Whenever he has been given more responsibility....he has thrived. Most important is that O'Reilly can eat top minutes, win important draws, take away the other team's best player &&& take pressure off Eichel & Reinhart. The value of that cannot be understated. It could be the reason why the Oilers young players have failed to develop properly. Ideally it would be 7 X 7 for the contract but honestly for an extra 500k...who cares. We gave up a player who could be out of the league within 2 years, an enigmatic Zadorov who has plenty of potential but may not have the hockey sense to develop. Compher had no place in this lineup. McGinn can fill in on your 2nd line and you won't miss a beat. Getting this done ASAP is huge for the atmosphere around the team. It sends a message league wide that The Buffalo Sabres will pay to keep talent.
  6. There is no question about Kane's top line ability nor O'Reilly's. Kane is a blazing power winger who can hit 30 goals with talent around him O'Reilly is a Selke calibur player that gets better when given more responsibility. He will thrive with top C duties. IMO O'Reilly and Eichel will have quite the battle for Captaincy once Gionta retires Girgensons is all heart & can score 20-25 over a full season My only question is how good Reinhart can be.
  7. 2 years ago my future lineup included: Kane McEichel Kane Moulson O'Reilly Ennis Foligno Reinhart Girgensons There's less than 1% chance of it happening but I would offer up Reinhart, Moulson, Larsson, 1st 16', 1st 17' for #88 (The hope was he would hit UFA this summer)
  8. Murray will want to keep the lower 1st we have and package it with Zadorov and Grigorenko to make a play at O'Reilly
  9. I would offer Boston Stewart 50% + 2nd (2015 BUF) + 2nd (2016) for 1st (2015 UNPROTECTED) + Subban If they want more toss in a prospect like Catenacci
  10. Some ideas: Stewart + Neuvirth to Vancouver for 2nd + B Level Prospect Stewart 50% + 3rd to Bruins for 2nd + Subban Stewart + Moulson to Bruins for Loui E + Subban What I think Murray will try to make happen.... Stewart 50% + 2nd (BUF 2015) + 2nd (2016) to BOS for 1st (2015 unprotected) + M.Subban 1st (STL/NYI) + Moulson + Zadorov + Grigorenko to COL for O'Reilly + Iginla but... 1st + Zadorov + Grigorenko for O'Reilly is more realistic (Overpayment required for Avs to move him)
  11. We need to unload this team. We cannot afford to miss out on this tank. Ennis + Stewart to BOS for Subban + 1st unprotected Moulson to CHI for 1st + prospect Mitchell to anyone who gives us a random prospect Neuvirth for ANYTHING but hopefully Vancouver for a 4th
  12. With McKenzie's recent comments it looks like Boston will get Stewart: just a matter of when. Hoping for Subban or their 1st. I'd even welcome Loui E. Obviously it will be Stewart +
  13. Stewart + Compher + 2nd for Subban + 1st ?
  14. I highly doubt that the initial purpose of the Winnipeg conversation was involving a 7th round pick for former 7th round player.....hopefully this is the first step in acquiring Kane.
  15. Sabres will acquire him via trade when we become a legit top contender for the Cup and when the Hawks are not quite as top tier due to cap problems. 2018 probably. E Kane - McDavid - P. Kane This dream shall live on!!!
  16. Hodgson + Grigorenko for E Kane Seems pretty fair for both sides.
  17. 100% Agree. I am SO SICK of the "journalists" Gleason and Sullivan. Get those clowns on the next bus out of town all they do is create strife around Buffalo with their repeated garbage. Gleason lives in 2007 ....oh and we can't forget Mike Harrington who had a meltdown because *shudder gasp* SABRES EMPLOYEE Joe Battista went in the Sabres locker room!!!! The Pegula's own this team and have EVERY RIGHT to do whatever the flip they want....especially sitting in on meetings.
  18. Hoping the goal tending is ATROCIOUS because I can see us finishing around 22-25 this year. Oh and NYI falling on their face would be great. Glad to have Cody on board though
  19. top line minutes with Moulson and Gionta
  20. Steve Ott has not signed yet. Absolutely baffling. Virtually no talk about him. It's due to one of the following: 1.) Teams don't think he's that good anymore. (Despite below average showing with Blues I doubt this is it) 2.) He has an agreement in place with Buffalo (awaiting a trade to free a roster spot) 3.) He has an agreement in place with Philadelphia (awaiting Vinny L trade to free cap space) 4.) He thinks he's worth Dave Bolland's INSANE contract 5.) He just doesn't care because his wife is freaking gorgeous and they had their 1 year anniversary
  21. http://www.freep.com...troit-red-wings Detroit Free Press mentions Myers trade talks ... Myers is Buffalo’s top defenseman and the asking price is going to start with one of Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Tatar or Tomas Jurco. Buffalo might well ask for Anthony Mantha, but the Wings aren’t relinquishing him. One player alone wouldn’t do it, though — there would likely be a high draft pick involved, too, maybe even a second player, someone in his mid-20s. That’s a considerable cost, but the Wings have to consider that as they stand right now, they don’t match well against division mates like Boston, Tampa bay and Montreal, much less the teams that stalk the Western Conference. A trade for an impact defenseman would make things look a whole lot rosier. Proposal: Nyquist + Smith + 1st in exchange for Myers or Nyquist + Tatar + 1st in exchange for Myers + Armia
