I am kinda amazed that St. Louis got so little for such a great d-man. The two "prospects" don't sound to be anything to exciting (one is like 26 years old) and of course Washington's 1st pick is not much better then a 2nd from us. Why we couldn't have sent them two of our lower-rated prospects which is essentially what St. Louis got and our 1st for such a great d-man is strange. St. Louis gives away a top 2 d-man for not much of anything and they are just a few point sup in playoff hunt so the move is even more strange. And Washington is in their conference and have to face them alot. Strange how little St. Louis got...

no doubt jack is pretty good, but of course our team is making him look even better and as Mr. Wildcard stated, he is no Mathews or McDavid. Things would be very different with McDavid leading the charge. Eichel does not get used properly for sure and that does not help...

while I think the kane thing is important, the kulikov thing is far more important. we gave up a good young d in Pysyk and obviously our D is in dire need of something and losing Kulikov for nothing to free agency at the end of he year would be a real poor move at this point. Do we trade him or sign him? I take either but if we hang on to him thne let him walk like we did Briere and Drury then I quit...

either way, I am glad we lost both games to the bottom-feeders because I was afraid Murray would get the wrong idea if we had won those games...this team still has a ways to go and we need to make moves and not stand pat. I am glad Guhle and some other young d-men will be here next year as it is clear our D just isn't good enough. Trading for a D man is tough as everyone wants a 1-4 d-man...heck we got kulikov in the trade and he would seem o be a 1-4 guy but we do not seem o be willing to sign him...you have to pay 1-4 d-men accordingly. Kulikov is like only 26 or whatever so he is at a great age for a big payday. Seems silly to rade for a d-man and let him walk. At least we need to trade him but then that makes no sense either. whatever...PLEASE Timmy do something...

hey guys and gals: I think it has become apparent that while Jack is very good, he is unfortunately no McDavid nor Mathews who I was hoping we'd get (one or maybe even both). Having said that, we also obviously the very meaning of a 500 hockey club. win one...lose one...win two...lose two. I think O'Reilly is a great all-around player but we need that explosive offensive-guy to play first center, and that would seem to be Matt Dushene. I think Colorado would go for Reinhart and our first pick. that works for me...I also think we have to resign kulikov or trade him now and not lose him for nothing through FA...we lost briere and Drury and got nothing for either and that still burns me! Either way, reinhart and whatever for Dushene is good by me...what do you all think? I truly hope GM Murray sells and doesn't start to think he is anywhere near finished here cause we still got a long way to go...

Of course Lucic did because he is a a**hole, and plays the way Boston the team and the fans want him to. They think that crap is awesome, and cheer! Sad, really...

This is obviously a double-sided sword, so to speak. In one hand, I was embarrassed by the Sabres' total lack of response to the Lucic hit, and do feel that running a goalie is bush-league, but typical of Boston's mentality. I know everyone is screaming for retribution, and thought the Sabres' should have responded immediately, but to be fair, there's no one who can even stay close to Lucic in a fight. I'm not just talking on the Sabres' but ANY team. Responding then and there would have been the noble and right thing to do, but in reality, getting the snot beaten out of you would have solved nothing from the Sabres' perspective. Montreal had no response for Chara's horrible and dirty hit on Montreal's Max Pacioretty, nor would any other team for that matter. Toronto's Mike Komasarek was and is not the same player after being taken apart by Lucic. There's no sense in Vanek being seriously hurt in a fight with Lucic, or any other Sabre for that matter. Other the other hand, I really do not see what is the proper answer here. I would love to see someone take out both Lucic and Chara to be truthful, but I'm not holding my breathe waiting! I think the way we folded after the hit was most disturbing. I know we can't win every game, but it's HOW we lost that's not good. Yikes, it's gonna be a long season!!!
