Thanks for the post. I don’t see him being drafted by the Sabres One of the main reasons they took Jack Quinn was not only his scoring ability but also his 2 way game. Doesn’t seem like that’s a strength of Johnson’s. Again, I’m just going to readings as I haven’t seen him play. Looking forward to the frozen 4 Ill be surprised if One of Berniers or Eklund isn’t a Sabre next season. Both seem to be the exact type of player they desperately need at this time.

My thought watching the Lehrer interview today is where would the Sabres be if things worked out for him here ? maybe he had to leave to work things out for himself? such a shame, Sabres could use his fire / intensity as well

I’m definitely leaning towards the forwards nice thing about Berniers and Eklund is that competitiveness is one of their main attributes. Kent Johnson will be an interesting name to watch as well. He is still skinny at the moment but is 6’1 and may be most talented of all.

This season has been a complete disaster from the beginning, actually before the beginning if thats when Jack broke his ribs I’ll be an optimist though that this is just one of those years when everything goes wrong I would resign Hall if he is willing to take a short term deal 2 to 3 years. If not , I can easily walk away 1) hire BB This should be a no-brainer Hopefully he is quarantining right now 2) put the band back together Skinner - Eichel - Reinhart 3) fill out your lines with youth In the draft I go after either Eklund (especially if Hall moves onor Berniers if Hall stays Eklund immediately goes into the 2nd line winger or Berniers would become 3rd line Center Both are highly competitive and are NHL ready (from what I’ve read anyways) I’ll assume Hall resigns Won’t be much interest elsewhere after this season 2nd line Hall Cozens Mitts since Hall resigns , they draft Berniers and he steps in as 3C I think Jack Quinn will be in the NHL next season too Smart all round game Will be able to play on the 3rd line this would give you Olofsson Berniers and Quinn on the 3rd line 4th line Girgs , Lazar and Asplund Defense Risto and McCabe (If he will come back) Dahlin and Borgen Miller and Bryson Goalie Ullmark and UPL young team I know but better than bringing in worthless low cost vets or overpriced Free agents At least , Bruce behind the bench will make it exciting!

Impressive by Montour, he hit the goalie in the Chrest 2 shots in a row. Figured one would have missed the net by 3 feet 12 points in 12 games Ullmark had a decision. 4 points in the others. (14 games I think )

Does anyone understand the contract situation of Rikard Gronborg? I can only find this paragraph that makes it seem like 2022/23 is the soonest he can come to NHL but he has to be hired by dec 2021? not 100% sure I’m reading it right. “The contract includes an NHL out clause for the 2022-23 season, which is valid until December 31 of 2021. Grönborg's original contract would have run through the 2020-21 season.”
