  1. I’m sure he will add some. Marner and Gaudreau are a buck 70 each, so it’s possible to be a good player and be slight.
  2. Askarov is with the Preds AHL team now
  3. I thought he flew a little under the radar that year. Shame he went 1 pick before the Sabres
  4. I remember in 2015 I really liked Connor McDavid
  5. I would say the exact same thing about professional defencemen that have put on an Amerks sweater this year All I know, over 2 seasons UPL has looked the part in the NHL and not so much in the AHL. I wouldn’t write off any goalie prospect that had to play in front of the Amerks d corps this past season. They’ve been bad if not putrid for most of the season.
  6. Daily Faceoff. Nazar Kasper
  7. Mock draft season EP Rinkside. Geekie. Nazar atheletic. Lekkerimaki. Mateychuck TsN. Lekkerimaki. Yurov Sportsnet. Gauthier Korchinski Sporting News Yurov Mateychuck Hockey News Geekie Pickering Yurov at 16 would be great as long as you can get him out of Russia Since they went heavy last season on Russians and the added risks of drafting them , I’d be surprised to see them take another with a high pick I’m not a fan of Mateychuck I understand the need / want of adding a Center but I don’t think they should force it by taking Geekie at 9. I have a feeling that a team with a need at C will take him at 6,7 or 8. Seems fairly certain that Wright , Cooley , Slafkovsky, Nemec and Jiricek will be the top 5 in the draft
  8. Why were UPLs number drastically better with the Sabres than Dells? maybe Dell has more experience playing in front of the key stone cops?
  9. When people defend UPL numbers saying the the D in front of him is a tire fire - this is exactly what they are talking about
  10. That’s what I’ve been trying to say. Jimmy Schuldt prized NCAA un-drafted UFA from a few years ago
  11. How was Jimmy Schuldt ever a thing ?
  12. Exactly , being in Rochester is not the only way to develop your talent. go look at most AHL rosters and I think you will find most teams are void of A level prospects
  13. I agree. Just wondering if there is any thought of getting them out of Russia “while they can”
  14. Doing a little digging. Askarov didn’t have KHL contract. poltapov is signed through 24/25 Kisakov is un-signed. I’m assuming the Sabres could bring him to AHL next year
  15. Askarov signed a contract with the Nashville AHL team. I would have liked for someone to ask if this was something the Sabres are looking at doing to Poltapov and Kisakov not the elite talent that Askarov is but both are important pieces
  16. Agreed There is not a draft to move up. Could be the best players who come out of this draft aren’t picked in the top 5
  17. That’s HUUUGGEEE. 25 mins a night for Samuelsson. Biggest issue for Amerks has just been resolved for almost half the game
  18. 2 of the following: Zadorov Gudbranson Manson Murphy or Subban whomever they think will be the best fit on ice and off 2 depth forwards - Vinny and ??? No one to block the paths of JJ and Quinn Jack Campbell would be interesting but he’s probably looking for term plus it would weaken the leafs
  19. Recency bias will vault him much higher. My guess is that he is gonna skyrocket up the draft boards .
  20. Who’s interested in a center? kid had an amazing u18 vs kids his age rather than vs men Could be a prime target the 8 - 10 slot
  21. Sabres Lottery odds Their pick: 1st. 5% 2nd 5.4% 9th 64.4% 10th 23.5% 11th 1.7% Vegas Pick 16th 99% Gonna be adding a couple of more nice pieces to the organization
  22. That was awesome! Beautiful, perfect way to end RJs career. So pumped for this team! Let’s fill the barn once again for this team, next season and make some damn noise both on the ice and in the stands !!!
  23. New NHL SHL agreement “However, there is one significant change that warrants a closer look. Under the old agreement, players drafted in the second round or later that are also signed in Sweden had to be at least 21 before they could be sent to the AHL. If they were younger than that, they had to be returned to their Swedish team. In the new agreement, that threshold has been increased to 24. Any player from Sweden who signs an NHL contract will now be subject to the new agreement while anyone that signed before the announcement will be under the old rules.
