  1. Good luck!!! I was wondering what happened... :( Also, if my boss tells me I'm moving to slowly one more time, I might just snap. He has me working on RFQs, as well as three other projects. on one of those projects, my time is dictated by someone who works at another company...I can't help it if that person has other projects to work on, and ours is back burner to them... :death: :wallbash: :wallbash:
  2. I won't lie...I'm pretty excited. The previews for this season look pretty darn good
  3. wow man that sucks! When I severely sprained my ankle a few years back I got good pain killers from the doctor...and I remember needing them. Good luck getting that healed up!
  4. President of the company asked me to do something. Took 3 weeks to compile the photographs and data for the project, and put everything together in the format that he wanted. Now he goes to one of the people helping me and tells them that we shouldn't bother with it because the old version of this project is fine (looks like crap, and has many errors). I think he needs to take another vacation!
  5. seriously? they both threw their elbows up. That's a tough one to call I think
  6. yeah...once one starts, everyone jumps on board. I've been around the game, and I've never heard it like that. I was trying to explain in my response that cliches like that are not valid because of situational ball. The fact that Byrd and Wilson make tackles on the edge or at the LOS means the D is doing what it's supposed to. don't take it personal man. I lurked there for years, finally wanted to post something, and just joined...took me all summer to put in 100 posts there...I don't like hanging there with everything they've got. I just post once in a while. It's annoying trying to filter thru 100 threads of the same topic. I'd much rather post here where there are less crusaders, and more level headed thinkers, and even the not-so-level headed people add good insight...
  7. I noticed that. that was quite the drubbing they were handing out. tough crowd. For what it's worth, I had only heard "experts" mention it once...never thought of it as an age old cliche...
  8. You need to account for the amount of time it's going to take him to pick up the offense. It'll be the same issue if someone is traded for or brought in off the street via a FA signing. On the positive side, the Bills offense is much easier to pick up quickly compared to say, NE's. However, I don't see anyone being brought in from the outside until the bye week, if anyone other than Aiken is brought in...
  9. you beat me to it! HAHA! well played sir...well played
  10. I don't want to re-sign because he was not that good for us. Did he lead our team in terms of stats that year? yeah. but he also gave up on a lot of routes, he can't get off the line as well as he used to (getting jammed easier...that's why is was put in motion so much). He also drops passes worse than Stevie, and doesn't fight as hard as other receivers to prevent a pick. He's old and washed up, and needs to call it quits like Randy Moss. Just saying. Nothing personal with the guy, I just think he's not that good anymore. EDIT: btw...that was an awesome play to beat the coverage like that...
  11. He had one ball knocked out of his hands by Nate Clements in the Cinnci game. Would've been a really nice catch. Otherwise, he's been kind of invisible. The only other drop was on a crossing route over the middle, not sure which game that was. yeah, no... :death: :wallbash:
  12. Honestly, after a column was published about him, I never heard anything again. As long as the buyer keeps the team in BUFFALO and is worried about a little more than the bottom line, I could care less who the owner is. I would love for all 8 home games to be at home too, but if we still need to do 1 reg season game up in TO, then fine. All I care about is the team staying, and the product on the field.
  13. Please no...just the thought is kind of scary... :death:
  14. Our defense is VERY opportunistic, but they need to tighten up a little as they are giving up a TON of yards. The offense looks amazing right now. very balanced, and other than the Cinnci game, they seem well organized. I'm pumped for the Bills. If the Sabres continue to open weekends with wins, and the Bills can close them off with wins, it'll be grand! B-)
  15. Sabres won their opener in good fashion...it's F'N Fantastic...
  16. Ha, I've gotta do the same! I think I'm going to the Cornell v Harvard football game tomorrow (free tickets  )
  17. SABRES START THE SEASON TODAY!!!! I'm so pumped for the season to start, and the fact that my boss and my other colleague in my department are not here today, so I should be able to listen to most of the game uninterrupted :clapping: Also, RIT plays Niagara tomorrow...can't wait for that season to officially start as well!
  18. I've known you for 6+ years now...you had morals to begin with? Mine disappear when I'm with you or Mr Choose Death Flag waver himself... Now, don't go getting all Clint Eastwood on me...
  19. No...it's definitely a law everywhere... On another note, do people realize that driving thru fog or inclement weather with headlights on isnt for their benefit, but the benefit of other drivers being able to see them? Driving thru the thick fog on my way to work today, almost got to bear witness to nasty accident. Car went to pass another slow moving car, and never saw the car coming from the other direction thru the fog (I know that passing in thick fog is not recommended, but I don't think this guy does/did). Doubt he'll try that maneuver again!
  20. I agree with every facet of your opinion here, and was actually saying the same exact thing to my moms boyfriend yesterday. I was watching a special on NFL Network and they were talking about how the tuck rule has only been used a handful of times since Tom Brady's ruling in the game against the Raiders. This was the first instance that I have seen it called since then, and frankly, I think the call is bogus. I also believe that the refs totally blew this game. They didn't call a single pass interference or illegal use of hands, or holding calls, when there were blatant, flagrant penalties being committed by BOTH teams (yes Florence, I'm looking at you). It was one of the worst officiated games I've watched in a long time, and not because they ruined it for the Bills, but because they blew calls for both teams. I honestly think that if one or two of those calls gets turned around, or PI is called even just once, it's a-whole-nother ball game.
  21. exactly! I will say however, I am glad we got our first loss on the road. Now I want to see how they bounce back. Fitz said in his post-game interview that it won't define them, but I think it will. How you bounce back from a loss in a game you should have won, and how hungry you come out for the W the next game really defines your team.
  22. My friend posted that on my wall. made me laugh. yeah...that would've shortened my post a lot
