  1. Michael Misa is currently on pace for 65g and 132 points in the OHL. Since 2004/5 that would rank him overall at 4th. If you look at draft year only, he would be 2nd only to Patrick Kane who was 3 months older and 62g, 145pts. The only player with more goals was John Tavares with 72 in this draft -2 year, which is an astounding feat really. Tavares hit 58 in his draft year. Porter Martone is currently on pace for 50g and 129pts. This would put him in a tie for 3rd for draft eligible guys behind Kane and Misa and tied with Dylan Strome. Other players of note in their draft year around these totals are: Mitch Marner, Wyatt Johnson, Connor McDavid (who did 120pts in 47 games) McDavid's ppg pace is the best in the OHL to this day with Kane and 19yr old Rob Schremp the only others in the ballpark. Misa is at a 2.03ppg and Martone is at 2.08ppg. McKenna is at a 2.0ppg pace currently. Again D-1 though
  2. D-1 = Draft Year Minus 1 year (so the year before they are draft eligible) DY = Draft Year (Your team can pick them in June) DY+1 = Draft Year Plus 1 year (so the first year after they have been drafted) Gavin McKenna just turned 17 and will not be draft eligible until 2026. His draft -1 year (this year) has him pacing above what Connor McDavid did in his draft -1 year. Currently McKenna is 1st in the WHL for all players in terms of points with 60pts in 30 games. He is 2nd in the WHL in terms of PPG behind DY+1 Andrew Cristall who turns 20 in February. You want generational talent, the other workhorse from Whitehorse is your guy. That's right, Gavin is from the same place as Cozens and played with his brother in the u15 league there back in the day (2019). If McKenna keeps up his current pace (which he won't because of WJC) he would end the year with 41g, 128pts. That would rank him 6th overall since 2004/5 in terms of pts in the WHL. It would rank him 2nd for 17yr olds in the WHL in terms of pts in a season. Connor Bedard who played his 17yr old season 5 months older due to his July bday tops him with 143pts. Zach Benson btw, is 9th overall for 17yr olds in the WHL since 2004/5 with 98.
  3. Although, Novikov is one of the more physical players we have.
  4. Gavin McKenna is currently outpacing McDavid in his D-1 yr.
  5. Biggest concern there is skating, specifically his quick twitch agility. Sometimes he's got heavy feet but he's a potential option over Johnson, Bryson, Gilbert next year.
  6. You haven't even seen 50% of what Benson will be yet.
  7. Dude drove his hockey team into the ground and then abandoned it.
  8. Lol, using Ristolainen in this comparison is a choice.
  9. At this point I'm ready to move off of Rosen, Γ–stlund, and that other Russian is Rochester. They aren't worth anything but I'd add them as sweeteners where needed. Personally, I think the Sabres did a mediocre job in the 2022 draft.
  10. Can't read can you? I said Ruff is part of the problem AND so are the players.
  11. 2-3 is too many. And Eichel and Reinhart were traded right when they hit their prime by a moron GM. They could have easily been part of the solution.
  12. I hope Ruff quits. Whatever he's selling, this team isn't buying. I think the players are part of the problem, but so is he.
  13. Zach Benson is the 4th youngest player in the NHL. He's already a 2way guy and the offense is neutered because the rest of his linemates typically suck. Zach Benson is more of a sure thing than everyone else we're talking about.
  14. The Sabres would be a more valuable asset if they made the playoffs. That helps his portfolio way more than losing 15 million a year in immediate costs. I have another explanation. He thinks, he can run the Sabres efficiently and whatever the other E's were and they'll be fine. Since the Bills are the darlings of the NFL with Josh Allen, he just doesn't care about his hockey team. So you've got a guy who thinks his eee crap will work but who also is thoroughly distracted by the wining and dining he gets in NFL circles. On top of that, he's egotistical enough to think he's right. Ppl like him so often know enough to think that they are right, but not enough to know when they are wrong. Pegula is out of his depth, doesn't believe he is, is distracted by a shinier toy, wants his yes men to tell him it's fine, and to do what all billionaires do... more more more more more.
  15. Not gonna lie, E.P. kinda worries me. He seems like a more expensive version of players we have.
  16. We're literally the NHL equivalent
  17. If you're going to draft top 3 this year, seems likely, everyone single player from Quinn and Peterka down should be available to help improve the team. Basically everyone 23 and under because Misa, Martone, Hagens, Schaefer are better than all of them. Lone exception is Benson.
  18. He just got 1 billion dollars by selling a portion of the Bills. He doesn't need money.
  19. Win the games you play.
  20. Idk, tell me how he's played this year and last.
  21. Can the Sabres finally win? Find out tonight at 7.
  22. I don't think Peterka and Quinn would be waiver eligible anyways. Also, that would mean they had played 3 seasons in Rochester. How's that helping them?
  23. They aren't snakebit, they simply lack talent.
  24. We're the literal punch line of the league. Great job Terry.
