I am curious to see where Desnoyers go and I think it could be as early as 4. Desnoyers is destroying the playoffs in the Q. 5g, 8a, in 6 games thus far which ties him for first in QMJHL playoff points. Dude has 2nd line 60pt 200ft center written allllll over him. I really wonder if Hagens with his size slides more than we think. I think on the pro side there might be some scouts that really worry about his ability to get inside if he had issues at the NCAA level. The thing is they could also project him out and not worry at all. I wonder if his combine measurements will impact any times but I could see him slipping to 4 or 5 potentially. I think Martone has answered some scouting questions with his 9pts in 6 playoffs games (which is really 5games because he was held off the sheet in the final game). His season is over but teams will see the size and occasional physicality and project him out to the next Tkachuk with more playmaking. I think that is a little over the top but he could be a really good distributor from the wing who can win battles. McQueen is going to be a wild card. He was able to get some games in late which will make teams feel better (recency bias man) but being shut down again due to injury (unclear what that injury was, so if you know feel free to share). He's got 20 games in this year and at 6'5" with that skating, ability, and physicality, I could see teams doing due diligence on the medical side and going for him high. He's going to be tough for me to rank because do I ignore the medical side because I don't have that info? or do I take what is publicly available and just run with that?

They are going to run Ratzlaff and Leinonen in Rochester next season and put Levi in Buffalo to fight it out with UPL.

Yes, the scouting concern is doing what he does in motion, meaning not at a glide. He's certainly an option the closer to 10 you get.

I don't think Rempe will ever be a consistent 20g player. He has 3 goals total in the NHL over 57 games. If Rempe is good and such a deterrent or what not, why are the Rangers missing the playoffs? At most I'd give up a 2nd rounder for him. He's got that 4th line 7-8g, 10ish assists vibe going. I will say you're right about his size, he could need 2-3yrs to develop but Rempe has never been productive at any level. Most goals he's ever scored in any season is 17, so it's exceedingly doubtful he gets to 20 in the NHL with regularity. Thompson by comparison is certainly similar, I just think it's somewhat of an outlier in his case. Thompson has 19g in 34 ncaa games which hinted at more production. I also think Thompson might be more exception than rule. The summary of this is I would trade for Rempe but I'm not sure I trust in a projection that gives him upper 3rd line lower 2nd line production.

I think it's a mistake to use 1 game as a measuring stick. The issues the Sabres have didn't change or get revealed yesterday. They need a top 6 forward, 2 top 4 defenders, and a goalie. The same things they needed last offseason.

If we were to get closer to 6, Desnoyers comes back into play. I think Frondell will go over him but I could be wrong. I don't love Frondell. He's basically lesser Carbonneau or maybe the limited stuff I've seen is just not who he is. NHL teams have access to every shift these guys play, plus the live scouting.

He's really interesting. Mid June birthday with a developing game. O'Brien needs to add pace and directness while developing strength. He's a bit of a project but everyone is at the 8-10 range.
