  1. Exactly. One is better than none and it's a step in the right direction. This team has been overloaded with undersized skill guys for so long that the situation isn't going to be fixed over night, especially given how we were on the complete opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to teams like Boston and Philly. We've finally started drafting players who are bigger than I am though (5'9" 170 or so) and we already have a few guys who can mix it up (McCormick, Kaleta, Regehr, Weber) along with a few heavyweights (Scott, Finley) we can put in when we anticipate a rough time with an opponent like Boston or Philly. In a few years guys like Armia, Grigorenko, and Girgensons will have replaced guys like Roy and Gerbe and while they aren't pugilists, they won't be as easy to push around given their larger statures.
  2. They don't have to fight him. If they want they can feel free to just stand there and get pummeled. I'm cool with giving him a spot on the 4th line whenever we play a team with a history of cheapshotting like Boston and Philly. The whole "everyone else will be tired because we can't roll 4 lines" argument is null and void as well because we're usually stuck dealing with the exact same problem when a guy like Pronger runs a guy like Ennis through the glass and knocks him retarded anyway.
  3. Screw that deal. Giving up Grigorenko and Ennis for a winger (albeit a damn good one) would put us right back into having a giant void down the center of the ice. I'd do it for Getzlaf but not for Ryan.
  4. There is a good chance I'll be attending this show in Buffalo and will likely catch it in DC the Sunday before as well. Slayer has been my favorite band since I was in middle school so I try to catch them whenever they tour the US. I also love Anthrax. I really liked Slipknot after their first 2 albums but after that turd of a 3rd albumn with the ballads on it I stopped buying their music. I would hope that they'd stay away from their ###### stuff given the lineup they'll be playing with though.
  5. That would rule because I'm sick of her character more than everyone else who is left.
  6. I agree, but I'd rather have real eye candy to stare at given the choice.
  7. I don't find her attractive at all and the fact that her character gets on my nerves constantly makes her even less attractive. I think Daryl nailed it perfectly when he called her Olive Oil. None of the broads on the show are movie star hot or really even tv show hot, although if push came to shove I'd rather ogle the chick Glenn is banging more than the rest of them. It's a shame Andrea's sister bit the dust because she was the best looking of the bunch.
  8. I agree with the part on Roy. I want Stafford to go, but with Roy being in a contract year, I'd prefer to hold on to him and unload him at next years deadline for a 1st rounder. I'd still be open to trading him before then, but we'd have to either get a better player in return (not likely) or get a solid center prospect in return. Roy and Hodgson as scoring line centers with Vanek, Pominville, Ennis, and another upgrade at wing makes for a solid top 6, plus good scoring potential on the 3rd line with Gerbe, Leino, and Adam/Gaustad/Free Agent Center or Trade pickup.
  9. Cool. Maybe he'll start producing and drive his value back up. Then if we're lucky Darcy will strike when the iron is hot this time.
  10. There's a laundry list of players I'm sick of seeing in Blue and Gold. I thought the Pegula era was gonna act like some sort of magic deodorant that covered up some of this team's shortcomings but for some reason this has been a horrible start to the season. Despite the fact that we're actually winning more games than at this point last year, I don't think I've ever felt this lethargic when it comes to watching games. Stafford, Boyes, Gragnani, and at many points Roy and Sekera have all pissed me off to the point where I'm tired of seeing them on the ice.
  11. Enroth would win no contest. Lucic can tell the flavor of a popsicle just by sitting on it.
  12. You can't really blame the dog though. It was a really nice chair.
  13. That was beautiful, especially the big hit before it all started. I miss Adam Mair. He may have only been good for 1 goal and 4 points a season, but it was great to be able to put him in the lineup whenever we played teams like Boston, Philly, and Ottawa where the chances for violence was heightened.
  14. They got rid of Mair and Peters and Gaustad and Myers were too afraid to go after someone who might actually hit them back. The Goose has to look pretty for those blue and gold make green commercials after all.
  15. I'd much rather see our guys take care of it too, but since they chose to act like eunuch's I'd like to see Shanahan dole out some retribution on behalf of our gutless team. Nothing too severe, of course. Just infect him with aids or something.
  16. http://www.nhl.com/i...s.htm?id=601169 Lucic has NHL hearing today for hit on Miller Boston forward Milan Lucic will have a hearing with the NHL Monday afternoon for his hit on Buffalo goalie Ryan Miller during Saturday night's game between the two Northeast Division teams. Miller and Lucic were involved in a first-period collision that resulted in a charging penalty against Lucic. The Buffalo goaltender left the game after the second period. Any chance Shanahan suspends him? If so, how many games do you think he'll get. I'm gonna guess 3 games because he plays for the massholes and his name isn't Kaleta.
  17. I don't think Kaleta was on the ice when Lucic ran Miller and he was the only guy to play with any sort of guts last night. They are 20 other guys on the team, Kaleta can't do it all. What about Gaustad? Myers? McCormick? etc.
  18. This team will never win a goddamn thing if they play gutless like they did last night. I'm truly ashamed to be a Sabres fan right now. Nobody on the team save Kaleta did a damn thing when it comes to being physical and we needed it. Gaustad is good for absolutely nothing but faceoffs. McCormick should've fought stiches be damned and Regehr turtled away from anything physical as did Myers. Our defense is filled with guys who would rather score a goal than stop one or defend their goalie or team mates. Weber needs to be a permanent fixture in the lineup and we need to hope like hell that players like McNabb and Kassian develop quickly enough to step in and toughen up this lineup of cream puffs. I never thought I'd say this but damn I miss Andrew Peters.
  19. Does that mean I can put you, your god, and your bible down for a vote for Angel with the Scabbed Wings then?
  20. Distant 2nd choice would be either Marilyn Manson's Fight Song or Angel with the Scabbed Wings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Jhp--rnn5Y http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iWzuaQlsDc
  21. I like the song Salty Dog but most of that irish type stuff reminds me too much of all those Massholes in Boston. I vote for Slayer's Raining Blood http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KsPZ1f7MDs
  22. I'm hoping for an 8-8 season for the Bills this year but I guess we'll see. I'm pissed they traded Evans for a 4th round pick but I'm glad they finally cut Maybin. The other thing I can't seem to wrap my head around is how Rinehart is now sharing snaps at 1st string left guard with Levitre, who I think has been a decent guard for us. Personally I'd rather see the left side left alone and allow Hangartner and Rinehart to compete with Urbik at the right guard position. Then we just have to hope a solid player emerges and pray to the football gods that Pears is as good as OBD seems to think he is after they failed to address RT other than failing to steal Clabo. I'd also like to see Coleman, Batten, and Moats (who needs to move back to OLB) give Kelsay some competition so he can finally ride the bench with his lunch box.
