Hey all, I am in desperate need of used laptops or phones for my trek to Africa on August 1st, they don't have to be fancy or anything, just working is all.... I agree and I am sure there were much worse situations for this child, the main issue this year in particular we face is that the harvest was very very small in Uganda and many are starving or cannot ration properly, the budget is tight, luckily I am able to help a bit more this year to help compensate, I mean it's what we are there for, but there's usually a bit more of a process in place. I'm gonna have to kick up the fundraising lol

I'm heading back to Africa in 2 weeks, we opened an orphanage over the winter and I need to stock meds there, 2 days ago a mother left her child there and took off. So we now have another mouth to feed. What's awesome about it, is that we will take care of that kid so well, and shame on that mother, ill be putting up some extra $ towards the budget because of this and I'll def make sure to do a thorough exam when I get in to the orphanage also. Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.

I spent all day yesterday with the gal, driving around wine country and getting smashed on wine, actually the Gretzky and iniskillin wineries were 2 big letdowns. I think mainly because they were so "corporate" in a vast area of down to earth family vineyards. Still the day rocked, I bough a bunch of wine for my new wine cabinet and at awesome Greek at George's in st Catherine's ?

I got a speeding ticket in Switzerland and in Belgium in November, maybe 15 km/hr over and nailed by a camera both times, got a ticket in the mail a month later, paid them both for about 100 euro each, kinda crazy, but in the scheme of things, an online payment of 100$ is a lot easier than how we deal with it here.... I may be branching into the South Sudan this trip also to try and make an impact there also. Any little bit helps and if you could please share this, it would be greatly appreciated ?
