  1. Overall game improvement is a given if he stays healthy. His numbers though are going to be very dependent on who replaces Quinn’s spot. They had undeniable chemistry.
  2. Airplay is your friend.
  3. Don’t be dissing The Mule.
  4. Gat dam you have a unique sense of humor.
  5. Neither of which was how I did it, lol
  6. How would you do it in the ER? Incisions to free it, or pull it out? They went in freezer bags. I’m not sure there is any benefit to weighing them if I’m just gonne eat them later.
  7. I did a thing today. Buried a treble hook in the meat of my index finger today. Buried it deep. I could feel the point of the hook under the skin on the off side. Caught a nice walleye. I probably put it in the boat while it was a bit too green. I mostly fish out of a kayak, so there isn’t much space with a fish flailing around in the boat. It managed to hook one of my nylon tackle bags, and trying to get it free it hooked me good as well. My index finger was fully hooked with one treble, my bag was fully hooked with another, and the fish was still on and doing its best to get free. I am pretty sure Websters uses that exact example to define a “predicament “. The fish unhooked itself thankfully. I, however, was securely attached. The bag was going to need a bit of surgery to get it loose from the treble hook, and there was no way I was paddling 2-3 miles back to the boat launch with a tackle bag and flicker shad attached to my hand. I grabbed a pair of pliers, put downward pressure on the hook shank, and gave the hook a hard yank. Obscenities were uttered loudly. Some blood was shed. But I got myself unhooked and didn’t pass out in the process. In the moment the pain was intense. Surprisingly, it didn’t hurt too bad after a bit. What is worse than removing a barbed hook from your hand with a set of pliers? Waiting 90 minutes to make a donation to our health care system at an urgent care center for a tetanus shot and antibiotics.
  8. The Matt Ellis of days left in the offseason
  9. Umm, GA, the thread is about songs for posters, not players
  10. It’s not an exact comparison, but I wonder how much more flack Weber would’ve gotten with Dahlin, Power, Joki, Clifton, and Johnson on the roster. And he got alot of flack with a pretty poor defensive squad.
  11. Eleven’s milkshake brings the boys to the yard?
  12. As long as Tage and Tuch are healthy that line should be crazy dangerous. Skinner is at his peak right now.
  13. Levi is the high risk wildcard. If he is ready to be a middle of the road starter, Buffalo should be above the other two again this season. But even with a Levi that meets expectations, it’s a lot closer than I am comfortable with.
  14. He’s sort of a Mike Weber type, and will get the same fan treatment. Some will respect what he does get out of what little talent he has, others will lament that he’s not something different and shouldn’t be on the roster. And like Weber, on a team with a decent top 6 he’ll sit more than he plays unless there are injuries. Probably option 2 is closest as it seems he’s the 7 right now, no?
  15. Vacation in T minus 6-ish hours, and counting….
  16. And now he’ll have two top of the draft players to feed from.
  17. Madden wasn’t really a play by play guy though. He was definitely there for color and analysis.
  18. You might be the only one who didn’t know.
  19. Count Domula
  20. Even if the topic is not new and fresh, the thread is. So we have that going for us, which is nice.
  21. You’ve stopped drinking.
  22. All he did is refuse to adapt to changes in public expectations. He was part if the media. The media didn’t force him out. The public that consumes the media forced him out. If there wasn’t public backlash, the company that employed him wouldn’t have cared. He was an entertainer who was no longer entertaining because the public changed and he didn’t. Every business knows you have to change or die. It is as simple as that. Ron Maclean wasn’t the reason he was let go. The “liberal media” wasn’t the reason he was let go. He was a dinosaur who’s act was no longer entertaining. In fact, it had become offensive as he doubled down on it.
  23. And Cherry was a chronic offender who was destroying the HNIC brand, had enormous time to recognize what he was doing and change. Maclean supporting that, with Cherry refusing to accept that he needed to change would have resulted in everyone losing their job. Maclean read the room and paid his penance. That is someone you stand up for. Not someone who refuses to acknowledge their problem.
  24. The only one who threw Don Cherry under the bus was Don Cherry. He either failed to read the room, or knew the room and did what he did anyway. He was self destructing. Mclean did the only think a smart individual would do, he distanced himself from someone who either refused to accept the room changed, or was determined go down in flames to spite the room. Mclean would have been supremely stupid to follow Cherry down the path of ruin.
