I thought they played a really good game. But when the chips are down, they go into that damn shell and they always get scored on late. Stupid shell. MY. WHOLE. LIFE.

Tell me why. With Dahlin and Bryson we have enough "offensive defensemen." We don't need one on each pair. We need defenders who are tough to play against. I assume you've watched in awe as our team struggles to gain possession in our own zone and we all think to ourselves, "Here it comes" about 10 seconds before a goal is scored. Enough of that already.

Keep Borgen and expose Joker. Joker has tailed off and is lost. Borgen is a defensive defenseman the type of which we don't have enough.

I'm actually excited to see a system change if that was possible with 2 practices. I mean, I KNOW why Eakin is scratched, by why Reider?

They got at least SOMETHING for a pending UFA who was not in their plans. Hard to argue that. If he was any good he'd already have played a ton of NHL games, but he has not yet developed and likely won't.

While controlling the rebound, Clifton made a desperation lunge with his stick and deflected the shot into the netting. Great play by him and typical of the Sabres this year. It amazes me how poorly these guys pass and that they can't catch passes that are right on their tape. It's brutal. Their practice habits must be awful and I blame that on RK for having no accountability on this team. Hopefully Granato can get some, but I doubt it as an interim.

You realize he's worth several million dollars, and the Sabres will pay him $3.75M next season, right? RK will be fine no matter what happens moving forward. I wish I was paid the rest of this year's salary and all of next year's when I was laid off last month.

I agree. Cozens is learning a tough lesson that he must always protect himself. There should have at least been a boarding call. Tough hit and I hope the kid is OK. I see him as our Jonathan Toews - he shows all the qualities so far.

This ain't USA Hockey ...

He's become completely useless defensively. On that Hayes goal, he did absolutely NOTHING to stop the pass or tie up the goal scorer. Same thing on the Matt Martin goal.

You just had to know that when the Flyers made it 4-3 that they'd win the game. I said to myself, the Flyers will win this in OT. Wasn't far from wrong. Bryson is what we all thought Dahlin would be. Kid's a keeper.

I think what this means is that it's not the players, it's the system. The Sabres look like they're skating in mud while everyone else is actually skating on ice. The system and this "connected" BS appears to mean the forwards have to slow down to let the D catch up so they can attack as 5. The speed at which the Sabres play is horrendously slow. That's the system - that's the coach.

Sure liked that Tampa/Chicago game today. So that's what NHL speed looks like. Hmmmmm.

Da heck is wrong with RK? How do you NOT put Cozens back on the line with Hall and Staal. That's been the best line we've had lately. They pass the eye test! Maybe RK needs his eyes checked.

Maybe Dahlin should do something about it himself. Stop using the "I'm a Swede we don't do that" excuse. Man up. All of you!

To my eyes, there is very little hustle and very little speed in his game. It looks like he no longer gives a (crap) about the Buffalo Sabres.
