  1. Benson is the most untouchable among them Quinn being traded just sounds like a very bad idea; especially at his age, in the midst of underachieving situation. So trading a 22 year old for a 33 year old practically just bails NY out of a badish contract while giving them a far younger and cheaper replacement which frankly isn't good asset management in the slightest. Kulich is a harder one if only because he's showing capabilities to play center which makes him far more valuable than a more pure winger.
  2. If they just wanted him off the books; I’d send them our Russian who’s hiding in the KHL, our 2nd and Lafferty. Id see him as a solid add if garnered cheaply since he’s a net front menace with playoff experience coming out his ears. Otherwise his underlying decline in play would keep me unwilling from offering any sizable offer.
  3. They’d want Quinn or Peterka and neither are available for a 33 year old with 9 goals but 0 assists with 2.5 more years at 6.5mil per.
  4. Sorry but that's far beyond a bridge too far
  5. That's the biggest issue to be honest. I have no interest in a hockey trade that isn't effectively Jokiharju for a more defensive Dman. I don't have much interest in Trouba Kreider's analytics this year as well as his contract would give me pause.
  6. Loved how the ENG had all the players cheering for the goal and wanting it lol
  7. Feels like the refs are doing everything they can to save the Sharks tonight
  8. I though we had to touch the puck for too many men
  9. Remember what I said, Quinn is sabotaging others to keep himself in the lineup lol
  10. 2 things happen often Dahlin gets angry and takes a dumb penalty Benson gets a penalty for existing
  11. Absurd no trip on the offensive zone just prior to that penalty on Dahlin. Guy literally pulled Dahlin down
  12. It may be a conspiracy theory but I get the sense the Sharks purposely make the ice mediocre to create the sheer chaos we’ve seen tonight. So much bouncing.
  13. Don’t quite understand how the Sharks got away with a pair of blatant interference calls. Wake the F up guys, you had some oomph after the Krebs goal.
  14. Likely felt he couldn’t fit it through the Dman and decided to drive the net
  15. Biron just suggested moving Cozens to wing for Kulich since he's liked what he has seen from Kulich at center.
  16. Zellweger tried the aggressive play and got plowed over by Tuch. Tuch made a great play on the rebound after Gibson robbed Power and Kulich cashed in the change. I'd say he's at minimum Top 5 in the league and I watch a good deal of hockey. What allows him to be so effective is that he can get away with some degree of hooks and grabs because he always is moving his feet as well as keen hand eye coordination. He's a legit menace in takeaways. Zucker has again shown he has a bit left in the tank 🙂
  17. Pegula will always be an enigma to me but I have a strong sense he’s more of the well intentioned incompetent than the manipulative miser when it comes down to it.
  18. 1. I'd be no less concerned about the team itself; but less concerned about Buffalo's moniker as a losing city. It would merely add comfort. 2. Hockey > Football, my loyalties come from a combination of location and familial ties. Love hockey, love to watch hockey 3. The NHL/NFL to me are large corporate entities that run the highest level of sports I like. If either league allowed our team to leave Buffalo I would forever hold that against the league itself. It comes from a combination of "Buffalo vs the World" mentality and I'm not above admitting pettiness. In actuality, I'd likely see my interest wane, depression set in and never quite get to any level of fandom with another team because without the "local" element; the communal attachment is completely lost. There's an inherent connection between Buffalonians, former-Buffalonians, and descendants of Buffalonians that is expressed through sports like little else. A connection that can cross all boundaries whether location, political, ancestry, etc. It's incredible how "Go Bills" has a similar meaning to "Aloha" does in Hawaiian while also relating to a football team. When the Sabres are good, similar aspects can be attributed to "Go Sabres," albeit to a lesser degree. I wasn't sure where to put this random thought, there is an inherent difference between the SF Giants winning a World Series and the Sabres winning the Stanley Cup because I'd be happy my favorite team won but there's more degrees of separation. A Sabres Cup win not only is my favorite team winning; but a win for the city in which I live and work. There'd be a parade in my "backyard." and the happiness would quite literally exude through the city for weeks if not months.
