Next year will actually be sorta fun to watch for there'd be no stress for them to win on our parts. It won't be a roster of rejects and misfits anymore and will actually start to show some of what is to come. McEichel or not in two seasons there are legitimate reasons for hopefulness.

Finally got the Livestream near the end of 2.
How's the big guys done thus far? For example Girgensons, Grigs, Risto, Zadorov, etc.
Blue on the board.
3 of 4 Goals have been scored by Camp Invitees.
Didn't last year an invitee get a hattrick? Or was that two years ago.

I didn't realize the two were even comparable.
Neither did I, I wanted Ott back but comparing him to Moulson is a tad insane. I do wonder though who'll be our face off guy

Sad to lose Otter but happy to see he gets to be on a contender. At least now I don't have to figure out a way for Ott to fit in the lineup which was next to impossible barring a massive trade.
I wonder if this ends Weber's tenure here to? Not this season but in the future.

It's silly that so many posters are okay with moving Risto in a certain deal but wouldn't move Zadorov for the world... One was taken higher and is further along while already having more success.
Chara consistently gets brought up and it's ridiculous. Myers IS NOT Chara. Chara was traded after four years where he showed very little because he was never used in a role that fit his abilities... He may never have blown up if he isn't traded.
Myers has been used in many roles and hasn't completely put it together, so I'm not looking for a Chara-style blow up. The comparisons are more annoying than the Patrick Kane stuff.
I want to keep Myers, but that wouldn't deter me from including him in a deal for Johansen (which I never did so I don't understand why the discussion turned here)..
That's a curiosity to me as well, Risto and Zads were on even terms until this season per-say. Now Risto is ahead because he's already proven himself to be full capable of playing in the NHL with large amounts of playing time. If I had to choose between them I'd keep Risto, but I still love Zadorov nonetheless.

We shouldn't trade an unknown from a position of strength for a known (or nearly known considering it was just one full season) player at a position of strength that fits the mold of everything we've ever wanted? Okay. Zadorov has already reached the "concept" status mentioned.
It's silly to talk about because neither player will be dealt, but labeling last year's 16th pick untouchable because he's an unknown doesn't make much sense.
I understand what you're saying but is Johansson a #1 elite center? If he is, then maybe he's worth it. But I'd rather not be killing the the tank to get another elite #2 center. Zadorov won't effect the tank and I'm not sold on trading 3 prospects with high skill for 1

Zadorov should be untouchable at least until what he does in a stretch of games. Trading him now would be incompetent seeing as he could be an elite D-man and he's already shown promise.

I wonder if Nashville would be interested in Hodgson and/or Stafford, both can score and Nashville certainly lacks that ability. I want their 1st rounder.

According to Fox Sports Detroit, the big obstacle in a Tyler Myers trade to the Red Wings is that the Sabres want Anthony Mantha.

One thing I certainly like about the trade is that if you look him up on youtube you can find him literally playing goalie during practices and making goal saving blocks during games. While it may not be vital this year, in 2 or 3 years this may be a steal.

There was some mention that he was suffering medical issues related to all the concussions he had and was basically done with hockey. Supposedly he is living quietly in Syracuse somewhere.
Tell him to come work at the Harbor Center or something, he may have been made of glass but he was damn good when he held up

In 02-03 the Blackhawks won 30 games, in 03-04 they won 20, in 05-06 they won 26, and in 06-07 they won 31. In 07-08 the captaincy was vacant and Toews was named captain a year later with Duncan Keith as an alternate. That's what tanking got them. They hadn't made the playoffs in 5 years and they weren't even close in that time.
I'm completely against tanking for 5 years, 2 is my max.

I want a pick between 1-3 or the team to make it to the playoffs with Reinhart, Girgs, and the younglings being the primary factor for achieving it. No interest in picks 4-14 for us unless the NYI/STL bomb into the top 3.

Maybe but he hasn't completely flamed at the NHL level like Luke has. I think his ceiling is Hodgson and low end is Adam.
That's odd if his low end is himself, then wouldn't he always be at his low?
He may become something akin to Moulson, late bloomer, but I'd have to agree with you.

I think the only way the Sabres don't get a good look at DFL, is if Reinhart is the next Adam Oates, Hodgson blossoms into Mark Recchi on the wing, all the young D immediately become difference makers, Stafford performs big in yet another contract year, Ennis is Briere and Chris Stewart actually plays 70+ games. So yeah...it ain't happening.
Let's break down the likelihood
"if Reinhart is the next Adam Oates" = unlikely but technically possible/ though it being a 18 yr old rookie won't help.
"Hodgson blossoms into Mark Recchi on the wing" = I doubt that, I think pigs may fly first. Hodgson may become a great winger, but definitely nowhere near Recchi
"all the young D immediately become difference makers" = all of the doubtful, one of them however is sorta likely however that would vary by opinion of what equals difference maker
"Stafford performs big in yet another contract year" = likely, of all of these this one isn't farfetched
"Ennis is Briere" = unlikely but I guess in theory it would be possible
"Chris Stewart actually plays 70+ games" = 60+ games would be pretty likely, 70+ unlikely
"Enroth becoming Hasek" = Hodgson has a better chance of becoming Zedeno Chara's size overnight
