Its easy, look at the name on the back of the goalies jersey and that will tell you if it was a weak goal/softie -

Enroth wouldn't have stopped them, but they would have been considered impossible to stop and amazing plays by the Habs But Enroths on the bench so its Miller let in another softie thats also Ruffs fault......... -
Not for Kessel, unless they throw in much more. I would seriously think about a Myers for Phaneuf plus type deal though
-
Actually, looking at posts here, I would say Miller and Ellis (everyone just seems to hate that guy for some reason)Then of course if it was written by this board 5 out of the 10 spots would just be different pictures of Ruff

last Thursday, Tukka Rask, technically Thomas is just taking the year off and if/when he comes back he will probably be the starter so its a technicality.......Or theres opening Day against Bryzgalov, but I think you meant actual backup and not just "backup Caliber" -

because thats how Buffalo sports fans work, never happy seeing a win because they always want to be negative. A win could keep them from getting the #1 pick, and if your not a stanley cup lock, that should be your goal -
But has he really been an actual upgrade over anyone else that started the season that he deserves to be in the lineup every night?

Buffalo News: Darcy on possible changes: 'It won't be the coach'
apuszczalowski replied to Two or less's topic in Archive
Toronto still lost their home opener to Buffalo and just about lost again in Buffalo a week later if it wasn't for a defensive breakdown and a weak goal with 1.5 seconds left...... -

Why, Because you lost to this team, badly? -

"I don't have time to answer questions like this right now, I have been too busy studying for my Fax machine repair class"Or "If I fire Lindy, who is going to become your new whipping boy to take the blame off of me?" -
Well if thats what you saw how can anyone debate it, your the one being paid to watch the games and analyse them, Robi and hamilton are just losers who watch the game from home or buy tickets to watch from the crowd and then complain about play on an internte message forum.

The frustration seemed more from constantly being asked and having to answer that same question multiple times whenever he is on the air -

or it was just more PR/business Speak from a front office guyDoes anyone really expect someone inside the organisation to say anything close to 'Yeah, the coach is on the hot seat and if we lose a couple more games hes out of here?", or 'Yeah, the coach is as good as gone once his replacement signs the contract offer we gave him?" He is going to say exactly what ever other front office is going to tell you, "We have faith in teh current staff and we aren't looking at changes at this time. We have some injury issues we are working through and guys just need to work a little harder out there. Bounces aren't going are way like they would if we were winning. We are keeping an eye on the trade/waiver market and if theres a move that makes sense to improve this club we will be looking into it." For all those that want to continue throwing out the stats and everything else from Ruff/Regiers full time here, TP came out and said when he took over that he was wipping the slate clean for them and is only using their time with him as the owner to evaluate their performance because he feels (like many here did about previous ownership) that the team was not given the financial support to be a successful team and that with him removing the shackles, things would be different. -
Game Discussion Thread GDT: Sabres @ Senators 7:30 pm 2-5-13
apuszczalowski replied to inkman's topic in Archive
Yeah, cause Enroth has earned the right to start more and demand where he plays. Maybe he can join Mikka Noronen lighting up a beer league somewhere And this seasons (8 games) Buffalo has only scored more then 3 goals twice when Millers in net (Openers 5-2 win over Philly, and 7-4 win over Boston) -

The Government, It all comes down to Obama being at fault for everything! The Sabres have not won a playoff series since he has been in office! Since he has been in office the Bills have been selling games to Toronto also! -
He is a good #5-6 defencemen in the NHL. He isn't flashy, won't be a superstar and may make the odd mistake, but otherwise he is nothing to really complain about. Similar to Ellis as a 4th liner. He isn't flashy and also won't be a superstar (hes becoming a whipping boy cause most expect Crosby performances from all lines), but he is a good depth forward player who goes out and does his job on the 4th line/fill in player.
-
Are you serious?Paul Hamilton was destroying Enroth during the first intermission for his performance in the first period of that game calling the one goal inexcusable for an NHL goaltender. Robi the next day was saying Enroth needs to be waived and sent back down to Rochester because he just isn't that good. One of them also made the comment that hopefully people give the next guy more then 17 games before we start calling him the next great thing and we can now trade Miller Miller is getting hung out to dry just as much and theres always a group here ready to blame him and run him out of town...........
-
You can compile a huge list of goalies who have come into the league and looked great for the first little while then fizzled out. That guy could end up just like the rest of them, or maybe he could be different, from what some have said in teh TSN article, he has put up alot of good stats during his career in sweeden.

Could Henrick Tallinder be the answer for Myers?
apuszczalowski replied to hockeyhound's topic in Archive
Are you trying to say that a guy being paid as (and expected to be) a franchise Defencemen should be making guys around him better, not needing someone else to make him better? -

apuszczalowski replied to hockeyhound's topic in Archive
Sure, lets get the old band back together! Think Drury can come out of retirement? Maybe Teppo can just slap some skates and a jersey on and become a player/coach? JP Dumont is playing over in Europe right now too.......... TP seems to love the past Sabres, maybe Tallinder could be one of them? Seriously, everyones running Ruff out of town because he has been here so long, and he is getting stale, yet everyone always brings up trying to get back former players. The problem is they need some fresh new talent to come in here. If Myers can only play well with Tallinder, see if the Devils want him cause theres a serious problem with him and he is not a franchise player then. Wouldn't it be better to find a better, similar style player to Tallinder that isn't a healthy scratch? Although on the other hand, if it meant shipping off Leo, I could accept that -
i would enjoy kicking both in the testicules if I ever met them in person............... Nothing to do with picking up Gretzky to take pressure off of him?
-
Elliot Freedman said in something he wrote that teams have seen the Sabres as a possible trade partner for defence because they have 8, and when asked GMs about it, they said Darcy told them to give him a reason to trade one of them (i.e. blow me away with an offer so I don't lose the trade) As for Myers, with his contract alone teams aren't going to give you anything big unless you take back a bad contract. Any team taking him is goign to do it with teh hope that they can turn him around and are doing it at the risk that maybe he just isn't as good as everyone hoped.
-
Scouts go to games all the time, especially when teams struggle and they think they can pounce on a team ready for a firesale But with Regier as the GM, and never willing to make a trade that does not have him declared a genius or the winner, I doubt a significant trade happens, unless you think Weber for a pick is significant....
-
But those players are different, they are playing on superior teams with good coaching. If he played on any of those other teams he would be surpassing Crosby right now!
