Loved the farmers daughter bit. Afterall these are supposed to be real men and unless they've lost their testosterone due to the zombie apocalypse they should be practically cutting each others throats in a lawless world to get at her. The series has been imo a little disappointing after last seasons. Its kind of like the expectations I had for the Sabres coming into the season.

I thought the show was good. With the missing girl and the fallen boy and the different faction ready to split off from the group I think episode two is set up to be pretty cool. My thoughts on this are the girl will be found with the group of 'humans' that shot the buck/boy. Maybe the a$$ that had to cut off his hand in the first season leads the second group of 'humans' that may or may not materialize in episode two? And obviously I've never read these books either. I like the suspense.

Thats not the case at all from what I can see. Of the 11 or 12 video reports on Tsn.ca only 2 deal with the Canadian coach. They have a wide variety of clips and interviews dealing with all aspects of this tragedy. What they have done is focus mostly on former N.H.L. players. I don't see a problem with the coverage.

There is said to be one survivor but unconfirmed. Tragic event and as Wjag said I've also wondered when it would happen to one of these sports teams. Just based on frequency of flights spread across the 3 or 4 major leagues spread throughout the history of the leagues. It would be terrible for a city to lose its team. R.I.P.

Been riding dirt bikes and street bikes since I can remember. You learn alot about yourself after you've had a few accidents. Riding trails as a kid was a valuable experience you can't gain if you start later in life on streetbikes. The falling down and getting back up and getting on the bike again numerous times a day as a kid teaches you awareness that is hard to learn on the street as an adult. You wipeout on the street and you may not live beyond one accident. Its not necessarily you but every other idiot on the road who doesn't care that you're there or just doesn't notice you. I haven't rode bikes in about 10 years after a lifetime of riding. Its always in you though. Wish I could go for a ride now. I have friends who died riding and I have a friend who's paralyzed from an accident. He fell of the back of a bike my other friend was driving when they wiped out. So if you're one of those who thinks that 'it' won't happen to me. think again. It just might. Good luck and be safe.

One of the best 'winter' beers I've had is Granville Island winterale. Highly recommend it. Favorite beer is Guinness. Its a meal in a glass.

When I smoked ( about 11 years ago ) I used to really enjoy Al Capones which were more of a cigar-ette. Or small cigar. They were similar to what Eastwood smoked in his dusters and you could actually inhale which I would never do with the Cubans. Funny story for all you Americans. When one of the big U.S. Navy ships would often stop in Victoria,B.C. for a weekend and all the sailors would enjoy a few days taking in the sights and what not the few specialty cigar shops in town would sell out all of their stock of cubans and do really brisk business. I suppose because of the embargo the U.S. has against anything Cuban and the fact that the ships don't go through customs. I think the sailors probably loaded up with gifts for friends and family as well. I'm sure those store owners look forward to the ships arrival with visions of greenbacks dancing in their heads.

Woke up and had the misfortune of watching that Tums commercial where the guy and his girl are at an amusement park and he's trying to eat a corn dog thats sort of slapping him in the face kind of like its alive( and ahem, kind of phallic ) and he ends up with this stuff all over his face. Whats with that? It was disturbing on so many levels. Thats my complaint for today. Tasteless.

Thanks for all the kind words. Sorry to fill your thoughts with my families problems but sometimes its good to get it out. The boy is doing good considering and they give him a 70% chance of survival which leaves about 30% of which we don't even let cross our minds. He'll be infertile due to the radiation so we had a biopsy done and banked his sperm. Seemed like the right thing to do and one day him and his potential wife will thank us. Again, thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Sabrespace is filled with the best people and I've come to admire many of you. Cheers.

I've never complained on here,at least that I can remember but now its time. March 1st my son woke up and had trouble peeing. He's 13. He'd been having aches in his lower abdomen for about a month but our general practitioner misdiagnosed the cause. Went to a urologist and he did a rectal check with the finger and his exact words were " oh my god,he's got a mass blocking his urethra " Worst thing I've ever heard. Long story short he had an mri at the local hospital and was rushed to vancouver to bc childrens hospital by ambulance. Catheter inserted, cat scans, more mri,pet scan and right into a regimen of chemo that will run till dec2. Just finished 6 weeks of radiation treatment that ran 2 minutes a day and is still getting chemo.Turns out he has (pardon my spelling) a rhabdomiosarcoma. I've been told they see about 30 cases a year in Canada. Its a growth thats wrapped itself around his urethra, prostate, rectum and has grown into his bladder lining. Lost his hair so i shaved mine but thankfully after 3 months he's finally had the catheter removed. He's been poked, prodded and had what seems like every indignity a 13 year old can have but all in the name of his survival. Doctors and nurses are amazing and top notch for their fields. Drugs, medication coming out of our ying yangs. Back and forth to the hospital, probably 2 months stay so far between the bc childrens hospital and the easter seal house down the street from the hospital. Countless ferry rides back and forth to and from Nanaimo to vancouver. He's doing ok and another mri coming up on the 17th of june to gauge the shrinkage of the growth. All I can say is I've got lots to complain about but I thank god every day that I live here and am under Canadas medical system because this treatment, the hospital stay, the travel, all of it. Mri's,cat scans, pet scans x-rays,medications, its all been absolutely FREE. Not a cent spent and what I have spent is a tax write off for the year. So you will never hear me complain about our system or my sons treatment. Thats all i got.

Gave up driving 5 years ago. Handed the keys to my truck to my dad and took up public transit and walking or biking. I live literally 5 minutes from where I work and everything I need is easily within reach.

C-Lo Green-Fukc you Bruno Mars-Grenade The Black Keys-Howling for you On a side note Howling for you by the Black Keys would be great at the rink especially the intro which would make a great goal song. Check it out.
-
I agree. I'm also looking forward to the second season and it'll be interesting to see where they go with the plot. It's a lot better than watching all the reality crap thats thrown at us.
-
Its just real nice to see the boys score 6 goals.
-
no disrespect intended but for starters we are talking about zombies which don't exist which makes this a fantasy/sci-fi/horror series which has absolutely no basis in reality so to argue that zombies couldn't over run your military is about as crazy as the plot. Nothing makes sense and everything makes sense, its escapism and its really not meant to make you think. Of course the Zombies could over run your military because the writers wrote that into the plot. Take Merle for example. He cut his hand off to escape the Zombies but he can't get past the zombies at the rooftop door so how does he get off the 10 story building? Does he climb down with his one good hand and his stump?
-
When you can hear a pin drop from my living room the rink is pretty damn quite. You don't have to be there to see that. The sabres are hanging onto a 1 goal lead and the crowd is literally silent. What Gives?

You're spot on about fans having lowered expectations. The expectations have become so low that this horse$hit is accepted. This team should be competing for the cup every year and instead that moron Regier has us happy to compete for the playoffs every year. He sells us a bill of goods every training camp about the exciting possibilities of growth from within and the odd 'tweek' or addition of some cheap end of his career veteran and everyone swallows so fast they become delusional with the loss of oxygen.
-
Merle will come back as some quasie Zombie that has evolved to Zombie status but with a functioning brain and he will organize the Zombies into his personal army...oh, and he'll have a hook.
-
This is spot on and Boston is obviously a team that plays smashmouth hockey. Especially against the Sabres because they can.
-
Well that was another case of how to blow the game 101. That game was winnable and the boys caved again.
-
Savard and Roy should be on dancing with the stars as partners. Savard sells it as good as Roy.

Ya whatever smartguy. Actually at 10:40 of the 3rd when Pomminstein missed another wide open net I had a moment of doubt about the outcome of this game.
