Time to wake up people. While Darcy is waiting for the trade market to set itself BOSTON will do whats necessary to acquire O'Reilly. If not Boston then Philly. These are teams with proactive G.M.s that go for it as compared to Darcys reactive style of management. We can all dream a little dream but reality will slap us all in the face when its announced that he's going elsewhere.imo.

All I know is the laughs, yes thats right, the laughs are a better team than the Sabres. :sick: Its humbling and shocking all rolled into one sickening feeling. They will most likely make the playoffs and at the rate this team has been playing we don't have a hope in hell. Yet they shittcanned Burke ( a stanley cup winner ) and we signed Regier to a 5 year extension. Look at the difference Carlyle ( a stanley cup winner ) has made in Toronto and tell me a coaching change won't make a lick of difference. I watch the Leafs ( I'll call them leafs because they're better than us ) and I see a team that competes every night. I'm not sure they take periods off never mind an entire game. Let it sink in. The leafs might make the playoffs for the first time in who knows how long and it appears we will be on the outside looking in. Again. Unless something changes.

I agree. Fitting avatar. What I take away from that photo is that some of these players are in need of change as bad as the fans. Not change for changes sake. Thats Darcys modus operandi. For improvement.

If the Sabres make a move to change the coach without changing the G.M. it would be a mistake. A change in philosophy includes the architect of this mess as well and Regier has already intimated that he and Ruff are connected at the hip anyways so they would both have to go.

I don't lack respect for them either. I'm fully aware of who they are and what they've accomplished. Ruff was one of my idols as a child. I am also aware that I couldn't do either of their jobs. They are both tough jobs. They have had little success at it. The Sabres teams are always sneaking in and mediocre by most peoples standards. I want more. Its only my opinion. Its time for change.

Another nail in the coffin of R&R tonight ? Feels like I've been watching a trainwreck in super slow mo since the start of the year. Lets hope they get their chit together enough to compete at least. As always GO SABRES !

There's no hatred on my part. These guys have had 15 years to win and they simply haven't. This year is more of the same. I'm realistic. I never expected the cup this year nor next. What I did expect is this team to make steps towards improving in a tangible way and competing every night with the teams they play against. They haven't done that. Regier considers himself and Ruff a package deal and its time for them to go. The roster doesn't get a pass either. There are players on this roster that simply haven't lived up to Regiers hype. He signed them to in some cases crazy money and in doing so handcuffed this team for years. He's overvalued much of our talent and overpaid on many of them and Ruff doesn't seem able to motivate or get the best out of them. Its time for change.

meh. The Catholic church. Ruff must have 3rd degree burns on his asss by now. I picture Yosemite Sam sitting in a bucket of water coolin his asss after the Boston game.
