  1. That was an entertaining game. These guys proved me wrong on many counts tonight in regards to my comments last night but I'll take it. Couldn't be prouder of the way they handled this game. Thomas Vanek was a beast.
  2. pleasantly surprised they got back in it. A couple fortunate bone headed plays by the Bs but we capitalized on that 5-3. Hold on boys. Lindy will go into alamo mode if historic perspective has anything to say about it. If so this could get ugly for Miller.
  3. Stafford heard footsteps there.
  4. I agree. Make no doubt about it I want him to become a world beater. A game like tonight could be a stepping stone for certain players. I have high hopes for Foligno.
  5. I hear ya. At this point these guys have no choice to at least show up. The spotlight of the hockey world is on this game. I wouldn't want to be that guy that shuffles his feet and looks the other way because its just not in his character to come to the aid of a team mate in this game. In my opinion Regier is the one in the hotseat tonight. As he should be.
  6. Waiting...waiting... He'll have to bring it because really I haven't seen much from him this year. Goal scoring or otherwise. Sure the kids tough but this is a little different than the A.H.L.
  7. Haha. This. The sad thing is this team can't even lose properly.
  8. Not very confident in the teams chances right now. These are two teams heading in opposite directions. As another poster said I'm just hoping for no major injuries and possibly escaping Boston with a point. This morning John Scott probably feels alone on an island because aside from Ott this team is really no different in toughness than last season. Its really quite funny how the coaches and management basically announced to the whole league how this team is tougher this year and won't be pushed around essentially throwing these guys under the bus. 90-95 % 0f these guys will have to play out of character to live up to managements declaration of toughness and grit while the Bruins will just be playing their style.
  9. I'll admit after the laughs game and the last second loss I am a glass half empty guy. Despite this teams record 2-4 I think they've been fortunate they have the two wins and could very well be 0-6 at this point against what some would say are less than stellar opponents. Hoping they turn it around and they get help from management in some sort of upgrade but at this point I don't really expect anything to happen considering Regier is the g.m. I don't know what to think at this point as I was thinking they are 1 maybe 2 years away in the build but I was expecting more and thought they would at least compete and hover at around or just over 500. Not. So friggin sad.
  10. T-Pegs management philosophy sure is coming into focus. We're ankle deep into possibly missing the playoffs for the 4th time in 6 years and both Regier and Ruff will be firmly entrenched in this organization come 2014.
  11. I can't understand all the love for Sekera. He played o.k. but that one pinch at the blue line where he tried to make the hit and left that player walk in and score was unforgivable. He takes his man there we most likely win this game. Simple.
  12. This team is in a funk where they just seem to find ways to lose. 4 games and counting. The point helps tonight but with all these mounting losses against Eastern opponents we are falling further and further behind the pack.
  13. At least the kid got us a point with his first goal. Thats one positive I can take away from this. Pressures off Grigs to score.
  14. soft one on Miller. No way that one should get by him. WAKE UP.
  15. Despite his stupid extra minor penalty he is having a good game. At least he shows emotion and works hard.
  16. Sorry Eleven. You beat me to it.
  17. 'You couldn't get the smile off his face with a stick of dynamite.'- R.J.
  18. couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
  19. was that Sekera that tried to throw that check. From hero to goat.
  20. I may be wrong but my thoughts are a G.M. should make the decision based on what is best for the team. Always. Does it make the team better ? In this case I don't believe he's hurt the team and given our lack of centres and the fact that a guy 5 games into his career leads the team in face off percentage its a no brainer. You keep him up and you give him N.H.L. tutelage.
  21. Harmless rushes that lead to nothing seems to be a team wide trend. Hecht is only one of many in that regard.
