  1. FFS, I long for the days of Darling, Jeanneret, and Hannigan.
  2. Seriously? This team is on the road to futility...year 13.
  3. 72 point pace,...not going to get it done.
  4. Canalside, the Cobblestone District, the Theatre District, the Fruit Belt,...all of these have no meaning to me, being a Buffalonian from the early 60's to mid-70's. At first glance, they sound like contrived gentrification marketing terms that make realtor's and property broker's eyes light up, and hands rub together, with visions of dollar signs.
  5. This team is unwatchable. Granato gone by Christmas.
  6. Respectfully, I get that, and I support the the right of any person that finds that post(or any post) offensive. I just abhor censorship, independent of whether for not I agree with. a particular point of view. Personally, hockey for me is a diversion from the crap show that is modern politics, socioeconomic, and geopolitical turmoil. Heretofore, the closest we came to controversy of that nature on these forums was the "pride" warm jerseys, which is a nothing burger.
  7. I never watched the "Jerry Springer Show", but this is America, and one thing that Mayor Springer said in concurrence with that is, "If you don't like it, turn the channel".
  8. I'm wondering if rewarding him with the big contract so early is having a detrimental effect in the locker room? I'm ready for Mike Peca.
  9. Really missing the Peterka, Cozens, Quinn line.
  10. Hope he catches fire offensively so we can trade him? This makes no sense. If he doesn't "catch fire", how many losses does it contribute to in the process? Forget about what he's worth in a trade; that ship sailed last year, if it was ever afloat. If he's not getting it done, put him in the press box or on waivers. We have no time for this! Twelve years and counting,...thirteen is inexcusable.
  11. Good point, but I liked his quickness and hustle in preseason. I already know I'm not getting that from Olofsson. He has never shown a 200 ft. game.
  12. Welcome! Surely, I thought your one word title was going to be a rant against KA. A bitching Sabres fan is a happy Sabres fan.
  13. Come on, man! Corn Pop couldn't have done a better job than Meatballs.
  14. If the Sabres are sub.500 by the end of December, I think Granato will be gone. I know many think the "sky is falling" reactions on this opening GDT are overreactive, but I think it's a pretty good barometer. KA said it himself: it's now time to meet, or exceed, expectations.
  15. It could be more a sign of the economic times, what with food price inflation, energy cost inflation, tuition costs, rental and house price inflation, and prohibitively high interest rates. Discretionary income available for leisure and entertainment is near the bottom when it comes to a household economic hierarchy of needs. Sure, the Bills can sell out, but that's only eight dates in a year.
  16. You're right, but in a year where Adams and Granato are proclaiming it's time to meet or exceed expectations, on-iice downside far outweighs off-ice expectations; the future is now.
  17. I think he could take Olofsson's spot right now with only upside and no downside
  18. Just from what I've seen tonight, I would be completely happy with Benson and Kulich making this team on opening night. And Levi looks lights out!
  19. I agree. I certainly wouldn't make light of any serious medical condition.
