The only thing I'm mad about is that we will never no for sure who Murray had #1 on his list now. A little frustrating to think about but I don't think they have a guy ranked so far ahead that they're devastated by this

We just got f***in shafted!!!
You realize that we only had a one in four chance of winning right? We were three times as likely to lose...not really shafted. Florida had a 6% less chance of winning. That's it

I will be disappointed if we don't end up with Reinhart. Point blank.
I have watched so much of he and Bennett. I let Bennett grow on me over time, but I still can't put him near Reinhart. Reinhart has the type of game that always has a positive impact on every game. Bennett is risky and his defensive game is still shaky at best.
I think if we want reinhart we will get him. Florida has great young centers. Could use a winger like bennett(he can play there) or ekblad on defense.
Also I wonder if they do take ekblad, if we can get the islanders to trade with us to #2 so they can draft ekblad and we can get a forward. That is if they believe we will definitely draft ekblad at 2 if he's there. They may b content to call our bluff and take ekblad or draisaitl though

Man oh man what do you do if you're the Islanders. Ive been hoping they just give us their top 5 pick this year, as we will get a solid player and a year earlier. But now that I am thinking about it, I will regret it so much and Ill have a pit in my stomach next year if the Isles suck and/or win the lottery and get McDavid or Eichel wondering what could've been. This situation has to be 1000x worse for Isles fans/management. There will be so much pressure on them next year to win its not even funny. I think I've changed my opinion. i hope they give us the pick next year. It will give me something to watch and look forward to, and even if we don't get a top pick or even top five, we are still getting a 1st round pick and a great prospect in next years draft. For a chance at mcdavid or any of the top prospects, even if it is small, i will gladly take it.

Lol I love checking the reactions. It was about time and I have been waiting for that since I read book 3. All I will say is I would never go to a Westorosi wedding.
Exactly my thoughts haha every wedding is a massacre..I really want to read the books but at the same time I want to be surprised when I watch the episodes like I was tonight. Utterly shocked and excited to think about what's gonna happen next

I don't understand the re-call of Makarov.
Let's face it the Amerks are in the playoff hunt. The Sabres have a game that is not important at all.
Let Makarov play for the Amerks and give Vinz that backup job again. What could happen...
a) Nothing. Knapp plays the game and Vinz is not needed
b) Knapp gets hurt and Vinz has to play.
Who cares if b) happens. This game is not important whatsoever. From a Sabres standpoint it should be way more important at the moment that the Amerks make the playoffs and that the Sabres prospects grow in a playoff series than having a backup goaltender who really is a goaltender.
I know I am probably the only one with the opinion but hell right now it doesn't matter if the Sabres win tonight or not.
I agree with the fact that it's much better for the organization if he was playing in Rochester today and I don't really understand it. My only counter would be that it's every players dream to play in the NHL...who knows if Makarov will ever make it there down the road. This could be his only chance to accomplish his dream, and he's more than earned the opportunity. We've had 9 different goaltenders all year or something like that. It's his turn now so maybe they think it wouldn't be fair to him to deny him this opportunity

They could but I feel like it's incredibly difficult to trade for a young elite forward unless he's having problems with his team ala seguin. Possible, sure. Likely, idk. Id rather just draft the forward

My goodness. I know the sabres want best player available but I just cannot justify why we'd pick ekblad with this kind of futility. We have forward depth in the ranks what we need is top end skill and finishing and the only way to get that (most the time) is this high up in the draft

He's been making lead passes pretty well but the whole Gopher team is just playing very sloppy.
Agreed with that. I don't think it's necessarily his fault I think he's told to just go in front of/behind the net and win some battles. If he's not getting the puck he's still distracting a defender or two plus the goalie. Seen Minnesota score a few goals this tourney when fasching is parked in front

So, vanek was a fourth overall pick years ago. In return from him we received the 5th overall pick this year (or a 1st round next year), a second round pick next year in a very deep draft, and two more seconds for the return from moulson. For once, thank you Darcy. I'm actually not as mad about declining edmontons four first rounder offer sheet back in the day anymore
